Declassified: Air Force’s Supersonic Flying Saucer Schematics
Officially, aliens have never existed but flying saucers very nearly did. The National Archives has recently published never-before-seen schematics and details of a 1950s military venture, called Project 1794, which aimed to build a supersonic flying saucer.

Well... they could have chained a bunch of extension cords together and gotten a good 75' or so with with it/ ;-p

I witnessed the 'first' and last flight of a homemade flying disc similar to the one pictures -- gasoline engine.

Flight lasted about 1 minute. Operator never really gained control of the craft... except for the last 10 seconds or so. He then looked back to the crowd, as if to brag about stabilizing the saucer... that caused him to lose control and smack it into the ground.

Fiberglass... busted it up really well and could have killed the guy. He was lucky to walk away.

The AvroCar was an early hovercraft without a skirt. A waste of time and money. Real aliens must have laughed their asses off at this (assuming they can laugh and have asses). Unlike the Avro Arrow, the most state of the art fighter jet of it's day.

That thing is primitive. In the 1950s, civilians built awesome free energy saucers, like Otis T Carr from OTC enterprises, with the OTC X-1 and John Searl with the IGV (Inverse Gravity Vehicle).

Re: Declassified: Air Force’s Supersonic Flying Saucer Schematics
The actual schematics might be breaking news, but the craft most certainly is not! This particular craft has been public knowledge for awhile. Even the History Channel had mentioned it briefly (with footage) in at least one of their documentaries.

Why hasn't anyone mentioned the Project name:

Project 1794

as in Roswell, 1947

as someone commented :

this has been bagged and tagged for further investigation.

it may be old news but at least it's in the MSM, Wired Mag.
