Nikola Tesla User ID: 18230284 United States 10/06/2012 12:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There is a very large large Chinese restaurant where I go eat about once every month or two. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 621092 Up until a couple years ago, there was always a line. You had to wait to be seated because every table was taken. Now it is less than half full. I shop at a local Publix grocery store. It's the same there. They used to have 5 or 6 cashiers working in the evening. Now it's two or three. The local dying Mall is much the same. It's been dying for years. Half the cars in the lot are employees's cars. If you walk around the mall, there is barely a customer in most of the stores. I was at a Walmart Super Store last Wednesday. They easily had 20 available check out registers. Only 4 were operating with clerks at the register. Of course you had to wait in line at one of the checkout locations. Also, the bank card scanner was quite slow. It took longer than usual for it to process the purchase. Plenty of jobs here in Texas, but they don't want to work, unless you call holding a cardboard begging sign out in front of the Walmart "work". They even have a big "tent city" here now to house all those bums. At least it keeps them out of sight most of the time. When I'm on my way to work every morning at 4:45am I make sure to give the bums in the tent city a nice loud air horn blast from my rig as I go by. A nice friendly "wakeup call" for them. If I can't sleep in why should they get to? Get up off your asses and get to work! |

And because of all the great surfing in North Dakota? Link or STFU ! NO DUMBASS, because this company ALREADY has a worldwide reputation and can base their headquarters in a more business friendly environment/state, and having that kind of reputation amongst the surfing world means that professionals will order online/phone order and have it shipped to them, YOU IDIOT. So having a storefront in a geographically advantageous location is not a dominating factor in their sales approach. Apartment buildings are going up in every direction, so anyone willing to bend his back can have a job. Next will come the boom in finishing the apartments (ceramic tile, furniture, decor), then the wedding party people will make their money, next the baby supply people, and nurseries, and so on. Ninety million people have to eat, etc., and someone has to make and sell them what they need. Financially, I've never been better off. BUT, prices have skyrocketed. In 2009, I paid 2.5 LE for a kilo of tomatoes, however now a kilo is 7 LE. |
