When you look at the map, prices don't look quite so Doomy...except for maybe California, where they are always the highest in the country.

I fueled up, just outside of Detroit(very dangerous looking neighborhood) on the way home tonight(about 3:30am)for $3.68/gallon...best I found..of course, I could have been jacked, or killed, saving that extra $0.10/gal, but alas, I am frugal.

So, what is with all the Doom and fear-mongering like the headline picture on Drudge this morning?
