They also function as honeypots and used for data mining purposes to identify and profile forum users.

Many trolls/shills/thread derailers on conspiracy sites will be spooks doing the work of their employers ~ USA/UK/Israel.

Some 'posters' are multiple identity bots controlled by humans.

The shills and trolls are paid operatives who are most likely employed by private companies contracted by alphabet agencies to run black propaganda campaigns on conspiracy forums, some of which have been infiltrated and/or domains covertly purchased and completely taken over.

It's a major PSYOP aimed at internet users who are waking up.

This is pure sadims. I'm a vegan, I agree with hunting if it's done not for fun but to provide you and your family a daily meal, I'm not against eating meat because I don't want to let my way of life affect the others, it's a very personal decision. But this is just a sadistic torture done to fulfill their blood thirst. This is total unwarranted and useless and should be banned completely.
