remember the pastry chef owner from a couple of weeks ago? he had declined a visit from the Obummer group also...even though he had only opened his shop a couple of months beforehand

after his polite 'thanks, but no thank you' went viral, his business went through the roof! people all over the country sending him $5, 10, 20...asking him to give treats & pastries to charity or a veterans club of his choice.

For people who don’t know, The West side market is celebrating its centennial this week including a parade among other things.

The traffic being stopped for three hours before and during and after this photo op along with stopping this guy’s business for 40 min cost him over a grand if not double that. Now add that together with the 100+ other vendors who lost business in the middle of a weeklong celebration more than 3 years in the making and your talking 100,000 dollars lost for the entire market for a photo op.

Probably more than that and that is only counting the inside vendors.
