Sheesh ... whatever happened to the Republican Party I grew up with? A party that was filled with intelligent people who were Fiscally Conservative?

Well ... another "Science is BUNK" speech by another Republican Congressman, this time the Republican selected by other Republicans to be the Chair of the House Science Committee Panel on Investigations and Oversight.

sheesh ...

I am not sure which is worse: ... another Republican Congressman who publicly dismisses science, OR the fact that the Republican Party LEADERS decided to put such a person on the House Science Committee and head of one of it's most important sub-committee's (thus indicating that such a belief is a core belief of the Republican Party).

Sheesh ... sadly more and more Republicans Politicians are sounding more like Religious Fantasy Filled idiots than people with functioning brains. If the survival of the Free Market System depends upon the election such idiots I am fearful that the Free Market System will disappear in the not too distant future.

"U.S. Rep. Paul Broun's view that the theories of evolution and the big bang are "lies straight from the pit of Hell" is getting more exposure..."

"All that stuff I was taught about evolution and embryology and the big bang theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of Hell.... I don't believe that the earth's but about 9,000 years old. I believe it was created in six days as we know them...."

It does seem as if most Americans are rejecting rational thought. In my less positive moments I think we are moving towards a dark age.

He's right, although probably just saying this to get elected.
