Yeah, I know there a few ways to work around this crap, but why should we have to?

With no permanent address, you can't get a driver's license, auto insurance, auto tags, bank account. Even if you have money in the bank, they don't want you free to just travel.

They give you the impression that it's ok, but try it. Yes, I have gotten around it by using a friends address, but it still pisses me off.

Also, now everyone wants to scan or driver's license for everything. Go try to get a mote/hotel without a driver's license. The driver's license is now the U.S. ID card with your picture and magnetic strip.

Just face it, we are closer to George Orwell's 1984 than people want to admit.

With the gas credit transactions, motel/hotel bills (even with cash), ATM withdrawls, cell phone calls they know where I am all the time.

Our license plates are now tracked at intersections, state/national parks and hotels.

Then with emails they know everything about me.

Well fine. Track me all you want. I'm no longer afraid of you.

No, I'm not just a paranoid fool. Start looking for yourself...

There is no way to not "take part" in the system. If you don't agree, you don't work, don't drive, don't have a place to live, don't have a bank account.

Soon you won't be able to even buy food.

Face it, they have you.

BUT, I refuse to be afraid of these fuckers.

You don't get it. They won't accept a P.O. Box as a valid address. They want a street address. As I said, there are ways to get around this, like a UPS stores or a friend, but why is that needed?

Why can't we just go and live anywhere we like? Yes, I know the answer.

This society doesn't like people that are different. If you have different value system than what we have been taught then you are viewed as threat to them.

Anyone aware of the Okies during the Great Depression? Those travelling across America were turned around at the California state line and told to turn around. Too many Okies in California already. See the movie, The Grapes of Wrath...

This country is about everyone being the same. Same religion, same goals, same views, same desires. If you are different, or can't keep up with the desired norm, then you are hated, or drugged, or imprisoned or ostracised. Or all of the above.

That is the real prison.

Freedom? What a joke.

The problem is that this time there is no place to go.

Don't compare yourself to the characters in "The Grapes of Wrath" by Steinbeck. Today's society is nothing like that at all. There is work to be found. For refuge, there are 24 hour stores that are open. There are rest stops.

You aren't a damn Okie living in a freight car waiting for it to flood scared that your daughter is going to have a miscarriage.

If you don't have a job, then try something less ambitious, and stay clean.

You are nothing like an Okie Mr. "Im typing on a computer, but I wanna be homeless and feel sorry for myself."

sure you can;you can get a drverlicense in ca and auto ins with a po box... because permanent addresse are transient and unreliable... people can pretty much give any damne address as long as they give a reliable PO box.

the thing you must have however is CREDIT... or you cant participate in the system.

Alright, Mr. Sympathy. The Okies didn't have a choice forced off their farms and homeless by the banks. You called yourself an Okie. You should feel sorry for the people when the shit really hit the fan, not for yourself because you were born a ramblin man.

As for the unfortunate souls you see, there are homeless shelters, soup kitchens, food shelves, salvation armies, churches, and lots of other places they can go ... but not for alcohol or drugs.

Your situation is voluntary so don't bring people who suffered and died because they had no choice in the equation. I don't feel sorry for you.

Of course, there are a lot of ways to live "under the radar", but why should I have to? Also, if you get caught not paying your taxes you could go to jail.

Again, I am doing fine working around the system, but there should not be a need for it.
