Anyone else want a house in a idyllic forest?
Where I wake up to the sounds of the birds chirping, and the smell of fresh rain on dewy leaves and soil whiff through my home as I open the windows. Sipping some tea as I look out of my windows watching the sun rays dimly crack through the tree branches and illuminate my house and make it a golden yellow color all around me. Maybe turn on some soothing music and take a shower where I'm still able to see outside my house and view the nature around me as birds fly past my window and see squirrels running around playing in the shrubs.

It seems like I'll probably never have something like this in the future with the way things are headed. I'm only 21 and wish I grew up back in the day where we were more free to do things like this. Not only that, but some psychotic killer would probably find their way into the forest and see my lonely house sitting there and snoop me out in the darkness as I come to and from my car.

Life sucks!
Maybe if there's some kind of afterlife I could possibly replay my fantasies out in that world, instead.

Anyone agree?
What are/were some of your wishes?

Find a national forest somewhere you like and build a shack. It's not that hard. You just have to snap out of the lazy dreamer stage and move into the motivated go-getter phase of life.

If you don't do it soon you will eventually become a jaded old doomer, looking to blame all of your failures in life on some grand conspiracy to hold you down.

You've been warned.

What you described has always been a fantasy of mine. I also have worried about a psychopath finding my isolated house. I would have a large pack of rottweilers to guard me from man and beast.

You're not alone. I'm older and have family obligations but if I was your age I'd find a way to pack up and go here:

Feels good knowing I'm not the only one that has thought of stuff like that. I mean the odds are slim, I know violence is magnified by the media but I feel like people are that crazy to do something like that. I wouldn't want to live in fear, but nor would I feel completely comfortable doing it. It's like a double edged sword. It's too bad things have to be this way. But thanks for responding, you made me feel more connected. :)

I'm thinking I would like a hot woodsman to find me in my isolated house in the forest.

I'm there, with winding trails, little lakes, wildlife galore. No fear of anything. Fate has been very good to me.

Oh my god, that is an absolutely amazing concept. Similar to mine. I don't think I'd want to live in a jungle though, but it does look so beautiful there and peaceful. I'm more of a forest / mountain type of person.

Well in my world part of being hot is that he would ask first, so I see no problem.

Sorry I didn't know if you meant your idealized world or reality. Yes, I agree. In my head, that would be nice. :) In real life, I'd be nervous.

Do you like to read? Sounds like you would really like the Ringing Cedars books--Describes the life you would like, many are trying to have this life--might have to go to Russia.
