BREAKING: HUGE LEVELS of METHANE at and around LA Sinkhole!!! | |
shadasonic User ID: 15732022 United States 10/06/2012 11:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | exactly what I was told would happen back then. And posted about. It would work its way up into the land and move northward and spread out. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24358110 I thought we might have a few years till a huge methane release from the Arctic. Looks like it might be the GOM. I'm like 90% sure this is what TPTB have been prepping for. Methane. The Arctic Methane Hydrates are already on the move as recorded last Year, here - 'Russian scientists sampling the waters of the East Siberian Arctic Shelf have discovered enormous plumes of methane, some more than a kilometer wide, bubbling up from the thawing seabed - Igor Semiletov, an oceanographer from the Far Eastern branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, said a research cruise late this summer detected more than 100 of these extensive methane “fountains” in an area of less than 10,000 square miles'. [link to e360.yale.edu] Pretty serious stuff that has been ignored en masse. Good post SC! “One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Anonymous Coward User ID: 25083894 United States 10/07/2012 12:02 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don't think the gas will come out of the ground in a large amount . the mush top is going to act like a cap.Its not going to collapse into a giant huge hole. It will look more like a water/oil lake. The well water wont be worth drinking anymore in the area. The land will be shit for thousands of years because of the gas coming out of the ground.Nobody will be able to live anywhere around it , or down wind of it. Quoting: TSWB21 Ok, this is more of a believable scenario. A catastrophe in slow motion. That would mean that the gov't would have time to move people out of the area before the area becomes unlivable. yea, its called agenda 21. people have been trying to explain this to you people all day. there will be no explosion, just chronic illness to make more profits off of. what bp oil spill was, china oil spill, michigan great lakes spill, haarp, scalar, gmo's, vaccines, etc. duh Wake up and truly study the phenomenom, we're talking hundreds of miles of potential methane fissures Now add NM to that scenario . . . |

shadasonic User ID: 15732022 United States 10/07/2012 12:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Shada can you explain more about the pizoelectric event - it could be a trigger for an explosion? Quoting: Tropicalgirl If so, what would the physical ramifications be in your opinion and what about Florida? If I recall Matt Simmons was very concerned about this very scenario and if it occurred, Florida could be hit by a massive wave, is that consistent with your view? Piezoelectric currents and seismic events are interconnected, shear pressure on a large scale releases electrons and a piezoelectric current line, your talking trillions of micro electric bursts, coupled with methane pressure it could be a massive event, under the right conditions. Florida is fine unless we have this perfect mix, in any regards florida along with 30% of the US would be screwed so to speak. I don't think you have anything to worry about. I do think large areas will be affected by this event, lets just hope that this isn't a fault line shaker or release. Its very disturbing seeing this much potential methane release, could be a massive bubble. Who really knows we're only given 5 to 10% of real info!If florida is affected a major portion of the US would be too. “One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. Thanks, and Deborah from the Examiner just answered a question I asked about the methane concentrations there and this is what she said: "Levels as high as 22,400, 26,600 and 27, 700 ug/L. Locals say they can taste it in their drinking water" BTW, if y'all get a change, give this lady a big thank you for all her GREAT reporting on the sinkhole story. She has been faithfully following and reporting on this. She is also a human rights activist. |

Tropicalgirl User ID: 1235443 United States 10/07/2012 12:18 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Appreciate the explanation, you've outlined the problems and this is extremely serious. Add in the number of salt domes in the GOM and what we've stored in them make it a potentially more dangerous situation. The evacuation orders in LA are for a very limited area at the moment, not sure why there is a media lid on this as it would seem critical for those in the Gulf Coast areas to understand the potential for problems? Glad to see SC here with valuable posts, thanks! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 22054163 United States 10/07/2012 12:24 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 7 Cities About to Sink [link to travel.usnews.com] 3 out of 7 are US cities...New Orleans Louisiana..Houston Texas...New York City, New York.. Dallas underground facility under airport....maybe bad idea but actually maybe needed and work. Mexico City 1 out of 7 Shanghai, China.....go to Hong Kong I guess and ghost cities that are very very cool places. Bangkok, Thailand.....these guys are getting a lot of strikes by water on them. Have a hard time. I remember looking at the really bad things happening in Mexico City. From the sinking. It destroys piping even natural gas pipe and water pipe..and sewage as well. But seems the good thing to do would be if you foresee this to move as much industry out of areas that may get cut off. |

When you look at methane and its potential its hard to believe without drastic worldwide changes that there won't be much of a planet or a race of humans within 15 years. The destruction of this earth is horrific, we are nefarious leeches and will destroy ourselves, we need no other anomaly. 45,000 Africans die every 3 months from starvation, no one gives a shit. The world is fucking mad! That's why we're having EQs here in Texas - frackquakes. Humans are deplorable, despicable and have always been their own worst enemy. And the ultimate enemy to Mother Earth. |

It is not that it is being ignored en masse... and not that there is not new information available... it is because there isn't a damn thing we can do about it. I for one, am ordering new car mats for my car tonight so that I can protect the auto carptet this winter... it is really important compared to these other events... NO... but I can do something about it. Have a nice day = GFY. GFY = Go Fuck Yourself. If this offends you then have a nice day. |

Southern Lighthouse User ID: 23585730 United States 10/07/2012 12:36 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Matt Simmons said that worst case scenario for FL would be a methane explosion in the GOM, causing an enormous wall of water and fire (80-100ft high) at super sonic speeds would come ashore on FL's west coast, wiping out much of the state. After researching all of this in the spring/summer of 2010, I MOVED the hell out of St. Petersburg, FL! I walked away from a life of 17 years in that area because of what seems to be unfolding NOW! I haven't been back since. May God watch over all of you who live along the Gulf coast. But this thing, should it come to pass, will effect millions of us, no matter where we live. It breaks my heart. Love is the highest form of spiritual warfare. |
