I just got my permit to purchase handguns and such today, yay! Haven't owned a gun since I was a teenager, been out of the loop for 20 yrs or so, I can shoot :) Just wonder what the general consensus was on a good cheap reliable with some stopping power :)

Make sure you handle.it first. Its a .45 so plenty of stopping power(that you hopefully will never need). Plus its used.so its trigger will be nice and worn in.. Looking aroind 350~400$

You can load it with jacketed .357mag for stopping power or cheap full lead .38spl for target shooting. Should be less than $700 new.
