It pulled Romney out from behind his defenses and had him spewing lie after lie and by the end of the debate was talking so far out his ass it was comical. Bully Romney Quoting: Yvo Obama on the other hand stood there and almost with a smirk on his face took notes...it looked almost like he was holding back on purpose. The Obama camp knew if they gave Romney the opportunity that he would spit as many lies and zingers as he could get out. And that is what happened. Now the final debates...not only has Obama set a mature, calm established tone...he got a lot of points out in the first debate...as any intelligent person would have heard...but he sat back and let the bully Romney go off. Now just wait for the time when Obama flips the switch and Romney drops a heaping pile during the next debate. The look on Romneys face will be priceless when he realizes hes been set up...and when Obama does his debate Bruce Lee on Romney youll see any perceived hope for a Romney Presidency dissappear. Going to be fun to watch This was my first reaction to hearing the news the next day. |

Sorry folks, but Obama can't afford to throw a debate. There's no guarantee that he'll get a second chance, as some voters who could otherwise be influenced may not watch subsequent debates, especially if they just decide to go vote early on the basis of the first one. |

There were reports Obama was sick of the debate prep in Vegas, not really focused. He could have been tired, and maybe he figured Romney would just be a bore and he could coast through it. Watching Colbert, Daily Show, SNL -- the consensus is, Obama phoned it in and Romney stomped on him. It got people talking, and mostly positively of Romney. With 60 million watching and early voting starting, seems like a huge risk to "throw" a debate. The idea they can now call out Romney on his "lies"... you don't think Romney will be ready for all of that? |

Romney couldnt keep his facts straight throughout the debate...specifically on his tax plan...or his inability to break down his tax plan and then when he did he contradicted himself on the #'s and the policy! And he made up lie when attaching Obamas plan. He spewed so many false claims regarding Obamas policy with healthcare and taxes that it was comical.
