Actually the pitch of female voice has betting lower in older movies women had higher pitches, with some exceptions like Marlene Dietrich etc.


This is because in the olden times women liked to accentuate´their feminity by artificially speakin in higher pitches, nowadays becaue of feminism, professional women try to speak in lower pitch, because lower pitch = masculinity power authority etc.
