HYSTERECTOMY AND WOMEN W/ CFS AND FIBROMYALGIA A DISCUSSION
I have had CFS/fibromyalgia for 12 years now. It got so bad that in 2006 I was forced to give up my profession. I use to be a veterinarian so I am familiar with medicine and its pitfalls.

I would like to start a discussion for all who suffer in an attempt to put some of the pieces together and perhaps come up with some better solutions.

I had a hysterectomy in 1996 and prior to this point I was always tired but functioned well and did not consider myself to be sick. Shortly afterwards I went right downhill and was diagnosed with CHF/Fibro it was a self diagnosis which doctors later confirmed. The first doctor said I had Hep C for a blood tans fusion I had when I was 18 y.o. I told her my liver enzymes had never been elevated but she did not care.

The point I am making is that Medicine has been co-opted by TPTB and most doctors either are unaware and misguided or along for the ride.

I have recently been thinking about all of this and the fact that I believe these diseases could be caused by a virus(perhaps the herpes virus that causes chickenpox) as it never goes away and seems to effect nerve roots. There is a lot of shingles going around now. When I do too much I begin to get a sore throat and my back starts to burn. This has been happening more lately for some reason.

If anyone interested in exploring this subject I would love to here your comments and what seems to help and hurt you disease. Thanks in advance for your comments.

Fibromyalgia & Endometriosis & Hysterectomy - What's the Connection?

[link to ezinearticles.com]

This article says that women with endometriosis are more likely to suffer from CFS but they recommend a radical hysterectomy. I disagree as I believe there is a link in my case I had a fibroid tumor which no doubt I believe was caused by my use of the copper 7 IUD for birth control purposes. They are still using the IUD only now they are impregnating it with hormones. Sounds to me like Problem, Reaction and Solution or the Hegelian Dialectic.

Thanks for the links. I had a hysterectomy at 45 and subsequently early menopause. Shortly after, i started medication for depression and anxiety.

At 53, I finally have the depression and anxiety under control, but I hurt all over.

This is my experience. Maybe they are related.

I wonder if the advent of all birth control methods such as the "PILL", IUD, etc. that came on the scene only in the last 60 years could be the cause of the increase of may gynecological problems resulting in increased hysterectomies and then things like CHF/Fibro, etc. You know it is very difficult to fool mother nature.

The thing I find strange AND interesting is that the Rockefeller foundation funds PLANNED PARENTHOOD and the AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY.

I was about 46 when i had mine. Like I said I had used the copper 7 IUD for birth control when i was younger. I believe it was what caused my fibroid tumor. It is only common sense now that anything that causes continuous inflammation in ones uterus would have long range implications. I went to Planned Parenthood and they put it in for free. I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. Little did I know what was awaiting me. Afterwards I felt like I got hit by a mack truck. Aches and pains and extreme fatigue, I wanted to die.

The gynecologist made it sound like a piece of cake as i wanted to keep my ovaries. But he talked me out of it.

In my study of Theology and world religions, Ive become very appreciative of the Catholic churches research on the female body. They know more about the female body then women know about their own ! They gathered all the case evidence and proven that MOST BIRTH CONTROL are permanently damaging to the female body..

Even tube tying will mess up a womans hormones and give her heavy menstruation and early menopause

Women, why do you still do this???

Have all the kids you want, stop and then in my opinion. (outside of the church) have your man get a vasectomy, It changes nothing about us at all, we just shoot blanks

The womans body is nothing to mess with...

I've heard fibromyalgia often disappears if you take Iodine supplements. This does make sense, since fibromyalgia is a NEW illness, and it appeared when our topsoils became lacking in essential minerals due to overintensive farming practices...

Could be worth a try. Just know that the "recommended" daily dose of Iodine is 100 times lower than what the Japanese get from their daily diet. It is ridiculously low. You should probably aim for something like 50 times the recommendation, but start lower and raise the dosage slowly, or you will get detoxification symptoms. This is because the Iodine will flush out poisons like Fluoride and heavy metals that got stuck in your body with your urine.

All detoxification should be done slowly, so the body has time to adapt to being free from poison.

definitely cfs for many years. no hysterectomy. pills/shots for about 8 years total. depression/anxiety. blah. blah. still get it, but not nearly as bad. pain all over my body, worse during some bad, extended weather - arthritis? BUT I feel much better emotionally/physically overall now at 44 than when I was 20 - except I'm slowing down and a bit more achy. let's say i was 'jacked up'. thank goodness no cervical cancer. i blamed bleached products and stress and just my karmic debt for it all. :)

life is weird. with so much illness,i had to go alternative. tried homeopathy - which helped a little. moved onto to other religious practices and started searching for answers. of course things got worse and i gave up and 'looked up' for answers. then a gift was presented to me. by 'the grace of god', i took several reiki tummo/open heart classes - and i have gone further. my heart was opened. after a year, i finally started doing the 5 tibetan rites and after a few months of all this, with the practices, i felt my energy boosting up.

spiritually, i feel way better. emotionally, i feel more grounded, less fearful. mentally, i feel more aware. physically, i'm a lot stronger. i feel less burdened. more relaxed. way, way happier. sure i still have bad moments and get really angry, depressed or anxious, but i feel sooo much better now. of course some things did not improve completely, but i'm fine with it. i'm more grateful. :)

Even if you are not Catholic, research their material. They tell the truth on what birth control will do to you and you will regret it.

I knew a friend whos wife got on the pill and she ballooned up to 300 pounds and had emotional problems, she threw chairs at him and they got a divorce

This is very interesting as I do believe my cfs is due to a virus. One I have had all along but never bothered me until I was really stressed. The fact that many people now that they are older are getting SHINGLES from the fact that they had CHICKENPOX is very interesting. Apparently, once you get the HERPES virus that causes CHICKENPOX it never goes away. It is always in your body. Then when you get older or are just stressed it can manifest in SHINGLES or perhaps other things like CHF.

When I was about 30 yo I got so sick suddenly with some type of virus, just like I felt with the most severe times of my CFS. I went to bed for a month and every time I would get out of bed I would have to go back. After 1 month it went away as fast as it came. But afterwards I noticed that when I would get stressed I would get a sore throat and feel like I had the flu. I would back off for a few days and feel better. So I believe I had the CFS virus all along but stress and the hysterectomy really did me in.

Well I had a hysterectomy last year due to severe endometriosis and many many fibroids. But I never used birth control and never had a pregnancy either. So no connection with me between the birth control and my female problems. But I have suffered terribly with kidney stones for the past year and have been wondering if there was any relation to the hysterectomy. Just had a large stone blasted 2 weeks ago!!!

I am always tired but I just assumed that was because I have hyperthyroidism!!

I agree with what you are saying. I believe the IUD gave me the fibroid, no doubt. The pill is not innocuous either. Like I said you can't fool mother nature and get away w/o consequences. Medicine and Planned Parenthood may want you to believe that but it just ain't so.

I've seen this link between hysterectomy/endometriosis and fibro just recently and have been reading up on it. Add me to your numbers count lol

I think we have and are all over indulging in sex. I believe it can be one of the most harmful addictions there is. It hurts us all mentally, emotionally and physically. Women are the receptacles for all the negative emotions in a lot of sexual relationships. Perhaps this is why we have more problems. Just think about it for a while.

As a veterinarian I can tell you that 99% of all mammals have sex to procreate and not for pleasure. The female of the species will not allow sex unless she is in heat, perhaps we humans should take a lesson form the animal kingdom, as they seem to be doing a lot better than we are.

Then there would be a lot fewer unwanted children and we would not be fighting over the abortion question, STD would be lessened and we could start to truly communicate with one another instead of jumping in bed.

 Quoting: grefey

I'm not so sure it doesnt affect men. My husband and I decided for him to have a vasectomy back in 1993 after our second child. He has had medical problems ever since.
In 2005 his symptoms became life threatening and he last worked 2007. He has lots of chronic symptoms but the main one is he stopped sweating...He can no longer do anything that a normal person would do without over heating and going into heat stroke. We have been to UAB, Vanderbilt, and Mayo clinc with him.

They removed a tumor and part of one kidney thinking it was affecting the adrenal systems, but that was in 2009 and he is still sick to date. He has memory loss, insomnia deression and lots of fibro like pains.

We are at a loss of what is wrong with him. The best advice I found was from an equine vet who told us a lot on anhidrosis in horses. Humans can be born not sweating but they do not stop sweating in midlife. We took a break from him being a guinea pig and plan to start again looking for answers soon.

I think it was brought on by his vasectomy.

The depression I think is from him not being able to do anything and from not being able to get disability...because you cant get disability for a symptom.

I had a total hysterectomy at 26. Never felt better in my life and never had an problems at all.

I use topical natural progesterone and take no medications. No hot flashes or mood swings. No depression. Now and then I have some anxiety, but it's from outside crap.

I am not overweight and look much younger than my age of 57.

Sorry many of you are having so many problems and I hope you can work it out. I try to eat organic and eat very very little meat if at all. Everything I get is bought from my local farmer and growers. I take Tumeric and Olive Leaf daily along with vitamin d3 and a few others. Maybe that is helping me stay healthy and young. I really do not know. I hate gyms because they are disease traps, so only get exercise at home. I am not a exercise fanatic either and stay slim.

Good luck to everyone.

I just typed a huge post and my stupid ass computer deleted it.

got the flu in 2009, downhill ever since. diagnosed last year with fibro. finally had the answer.

however, in 2007 I had my tubes tied. 2 days later in daughter was in a car accident and was paralyzed. I spent 2 years caring for her, teaching her how to care for herself. she was stong enough to finally move out at the same time I got sick. My point is, It could be the flu virus or it could be the tubes.

I wonder if there is a study based on fibro/cfs and abortions which is, of course, a horrible 'birth control'.

This syndrome is no joke. It sucks to look healthy and feel horrible on the inside all the time.

Re: HYSTERECTOMY AND WOMEN W/ CFS AND FIBROMYALGIA A DISCUSSION
i don't agree with vasectomy either. i've also read negative things. yet, with all that goes on, if someone is spiritually stronger (and for me that means to have a more open heart, more love in your whole heart and whole being) one tends to feel better despite all illnesses.

in this life, what WE do has a consequence. it's like the law of physics - for every action, there is an equal reaction. BUT, if we do something with the knowing deep down within our heart that it's the right thing to do, then only good can come from it. Why? Because when we reach for that answer deep in our heart that makes us happy (not our emotional reaction, only using the feeling in the heart) we will know it is with the best interest in for our whole self and whole being. It takes practice to know when we are using our emotions/ambition over our deeper feelings in the heart.

also, as human, we will always have limitations. there are plenty of people out there with illnesses of all sorts who continue to function in life. how so? well, they follow what brings them the most joy. how many people out there with cancer continue to work, despite the pain, in something they enjoy or learn to enjoy what they do? plenty of people out there. one would be surprised how well the whole being, including the physical body would function if we allow ourselves to receive love within our whole heart and whole being. it certainly shocked me to 'feel' the difference.

it reminds me of a story i watched on a catholic tv station. a priest from india was telling a story how a young man was in an accident and his back was broken. the group switched religions and started to pray for him. the young man started to walk again and his back is obviously, visually broken still!!! things happen that is completely unknown to me. (and i never really watch that station. i just happen to tune in because they started discussing people converting to catholicism, which i found to be unusual.) great story with pics and testimonials to go with it. a first for me.

All these chronic diseases are nutritional deficiences brought on by junk food and stress. Trans fat and sugar are really bad they feed viruses.

Quit the junk and take 3 times the vitamins, minerals, fish oi, borage oil and amino acids than the health industry recomends.

You will be better in one year. You will feel better in one month.

Re: HYSTERECTOMY AND WOMEN W/ CFS AND FIBROMYALGIA A DISCUSSION

I am going to try the topical natural progesterone. It sounds like a good idea and I believe that has androgenic effects on the body and is used by the adrenals to help make other hormones. I also believe diet, spirituality and stress play major roles also.
