Just got back from the store

Most people who complain about not being able to afford food means they can't keep up their bag of doritos and a twelve pack of cokes lifestyle.

A little hardship like that isn't comparable to real starvation.

In the past carts would be over flowing especially for people using food stamps.Now food stamps dont buy nearly as much so carts arent as full.People paying cash barely have the bottom of the cart covered.I went to the grocery Friday.Spent $102 and carried it in using 5 plastic grocery bags.

Haha what a joke. In my town people are still buy the same crap they've always bought.

Once dork declares martial law it will get much worse. Hate to say it.....

Its true, I used to go to store and maybe halfway fill cart for two of us, these days i can usually go throw the express lane, then try to hit produce stand its cheaper for some items. I rarely buy roasts any more, bacon when on sale only, same with butter unless I go to Aldi always cheap there.

and anyone who is not affected by this must have a pretty good income or lots of food stamps each month, and now they are saying food with skyrocket cause of drought, yup better stock up on beans and rice now

Cynical, but likely accurate.

Consuming non-factory prepared foods
is big change for many folks.

This morning I boiled a chicken with some root veges and spices for a few hours
added some half-cooked egg noodles and damn if it isn't a fine soup.

It yielded about a gallon and a half for about 10 bucks.
Want some soup? LoL.

Most people probably are still spending momey on smokes... Why not buy some seeds...

I've been living on home cooked food since I was 13, and god damn it, I'm going to do the same thing till I die. Thank god I've never learned the hardship of trying to live without a box of hohos.

And they have a $200 month cigarette habit..

May as well be cocaine or heroin...a $200 a month addiction is an addiction and it's a problem..
