Somehow I am not surprised that you were unable understand my point. My family (along with countless other families) has for generations made sacrifices for this country. Soldiers, teachers, police officers, scientists, factory workers. We do not ask for much in return. What we do ask is that if you are going be a part of this country, that you pay your share. And if someone is down on their luck, you be understanding and lift them up with you. And we bear this burden together. You don't have to like it, but it is who we are.

We built your bridges, roads, power plants, Internet, universities, cities, etc... We did this with public monies. We did this with our labor. If you don't like your tax rate, or how it is spent, find somewhere else to live.
