I read the blog and thought the graduate's speech sounded like the Trash Can Man in the book The Stand when he said " my life for you" to the evil leader. She sounded so eager....and creepy. It also freaked me out because it's in small town Iowa. The welfare of humanity is always the alibi of tyrants.
