Reminds of Emerson, Lake & Palmer in a lot of ways.

One of the most talented bands of the early 70's.

Re: Yes - The Yes Album
They don't get the recognition they deserve. Howe, Squire, Wakeman...3 of the most talented musicians rock has ever heard. This album had Kaye playing keys instead of Wakeman, but it also had Bruford on drums. But any album that had Squire and Howe was incredible, imo.

The Yes Album was perhaps the best Prog Album of all time. Tony Kaye was excellent on keyboards. Still listen to it after all these years.

That's great news...I hadn't heard...thanks!

My first concert was at the Astrodome in Houston, and included Yes, John McLaughlin and the Mahavishnu Orchestra, Gryphon, and Montrose.

I was 15...had just started smoking weed...what a concert!!!

Re: Yes - The Yes Album
The album "Close To The Edge" from YES was recently re-mixed by none other than Steve Wilson of PORCUPINE TREE, his solo stuff is fantastic as well...I learned of PT from a thread on GLP and was amazed to find out they've been around since the early 90's, only found out about them last year. Lots of people with musical "taste" here, easily one of my newest favorite bands.

If you're interested in some additional good music, check them out !
