Interview with conservative darkhorse candidate Blackmane & reader questions
Who?

Teaser (apparently emailed following the interview, but posted first):

Part 1:

Part 2 (Long - Answering reader questions):
[link to www.nukingpolitics.com]

Excerpt:
NP: Where do you see our country headed?

SB: At the moment? Off a cliff and then plummeting towards a black hole, fiscally, regulation-wise, morally, take your pick. But I also see a great many of the passengers in this participatory representational democracy waking up, yelling warnings, demanding that the brakes be applied, that somebody please veer in another direction, etc. "The End" is not now although it is darn near nigh.

So I've heard of this guy- he's running for President? I read an interview with him somewhere and he sounds so bright and refreshing and he's pretty funny too...any chance this guy could be Pres someday??

Damn I'd love to write this guy in

Mundane68: On Gun Control: Should all Americans be mandatorially armed with .4x caliber handguns or would you allow smaller caliber guns for girly hands?

SB: Smaller calibers would certainly be allowed, for at least these and probably other good reasons:
o Girls get to shoot too!
o Generally speaking, the .22 has more stopping power than the .38 or larger caliber. Yeah, I know that sounds wrong, or backwards, and it surprised me also, but the findings make sense. You can't stop what you can't hit, and in a crisis or a shootout almost everyone is far more accurate with a no-kick .22 than with a hoss gun.
Also, I will NOT mandate that all Americans get conceal-carry licenses, as that would be a violation of Federalism. What I can probably put into place, however, and something I'd really like to do, is to grant significantly meaty tax breaks to those who do, and I can justify this as a reward for voluntarily assuming part of the burden of civic peace-keeping.

Regarding Blackmane running for president again - I have no idea.

I'm gonna follow the threads, and let's see if he's (re-)draftable in a couple of years. I got the feeling from an earlier post that they got a very late start this campaign season.

*LOVED* the big about the evil clowns though! LOL!

Here's an older interview:

[link to www.imao.us]

Excerpt:

2. What is your real opinion of Obama?

I believe him to be a sad, abandoned boy now trapped by time in manhood; who was deceived by those who claimed to love him: who had hatred of this country, of our society and our values, fed to him with his mother’s milk, except actually without the mother’s milk part: whose rage is now full-grown. I don’t think he is either stupid or incompetent – I think he’s malignant, and that the non-natural disasters that have befallen our country have not been the result of his policies’ failures, but rather of their successes. This is not “conspiracy talk” by the way; I’ll remind you of his “energy prices will necessarily skyrocket” quote as a perfect example. He’s a bitter narcissistic far-left radical, playing out his mommy and daddy issues on a stage writ large, who has been quite successful at achieving many of his goals.

Here's question #3
3. Obama claims that you don't care about the poor, or the old, or the disadvantaged, or minorities. What do you say to that?

The answer - wow - he "hits the ground and digs in" is one way to put it...

Re: Interview with conservative darkhorse candidate Blackmane & reader questions
My understanding - and take this with a grain of salt because I'm not sure how accurate this is, but it is all I've got to go on - is that Blackmane was a late-comer because he was pressured into "running" by a bunch of his friends (and here's what I'm really not certain about), which he was resisting until some bloggers got wind of his views and ratcheted up the pressure.

That's 2nd-hand info plus some guesswork, so don't take my word for it as gospel, it's just what I understand to date.

Re: Interview with conservative darkhorse candidate Blackmane & reader questions
Ya, I know this is an old thread. Very old.

But I was sitting here, pissed about so many Republicans caving over the Obamacare vote, and just got all wistful over what I remember reading here way back when.

Still, not a peep have I heard from Blackmane in like forever, so I have no idea what he's got planned coming up, if anything.

Oh well, we've all got our fantasies. Mine once (briefly) was that Blackmane might blow into office and start setting things on fire.

Now I'd just be happy if more Republican congressmen grew a spine. I sincerely hope that's not just equally another fantasy, but I fear I may be wrong about that.
