Anonymous Coward User ID: 1128877 Canada 10/08/2012 06:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Then it fell apart and I went through hell. My 2 kids rock and are a blast to be around. Learning to sleep in an empty bed. Finding GLP which opened my eye's and that aliens do exist. The first time I looked to the night stars and asked for a response and got one. Researching NDE's and OBE's, past life regression therapy's and realizing we are just in this body/journey for a short time. Having no fear and looking forward to the spirit world:) My course is off, I need to be in love. That's what this life is about. Big thanks to Glp and the people that changed my life on here. |

Saddletramp User ID: 739427 Puerto Rico 10/08/2012 08:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 1.) Born...that's a biggie, or taking my first drink, both were very eventful... 2.) Graduation, really felt like a chapter of my life was over and a whole new beginning for me. 3.) Married, I love her now more than I even did then, and I definitely respect her more. A good woman makes life soooo much easier. 4.) Near Death Experience, caught in a flash flood, my first spiritual experience (though I didn't understand what it meant at the time) 5.) Quit Drinking, this is me hitting rock bottom, being reborn (In connection with my NDE), and growing up, it probably saved my life, definitely saved my marriage, and propelled a boy that had potential into a man that had ambitions... 6.) Recruited to go to work in the Banking Industry, even though my degree was in agriculture. Went from working a job to having a career. 7.) The birth of my sons. This was a magical experience, and it gave me an entirely new focus. 8.) An Old Community Banker takes me under his wing as a Mentor, taught me essentially everything I know about business and banking. 9.) Wrote my first novel. It was like creating life, I had written other things, short stories, etc, but something about this gave me a whole new appreciation of the act of creating something... Anonymous Coward User ID: 24255836 United States 10/08/2012 08:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 1. When my sister and I started taking popular songs and putting our own words to them, then, singing one at 1st grade Christmas. It was the start of a lifelong passion. Quoting: Esoteric Morgan 2. My first band, "The Midnight Riders" with three female friends in 7th grade. I played leather stool and bongos, since my parents would not buy me drums. This did not last long, but, it led to something big. 3. Having my writing skills noted by a kind teacher that same year. It afforded me a sense of self worth. 4. Freshman year in catholic high school, being taught comparative religion. This allowed me to break chains, and think for myself. 5. Becoming Ronnie's side-kick at age 19. I learned about the true meaning of love and respect, and, discovered a great deal about the electrical mechanics of animal magnetism ...even though we pretty much kept it platonic. It was emotional and mental love. After years apart in unfulfilled relationships, we would wind up married, putting what we learned as kids to good use! 6. Walking into CBGBs to see Patti Smith and Television, being asked to work there by Hilly Kristal, who became my lifelong friend. I never looked back. 7. Being on the wrong end of emotional and physically abusive relationship. It led to both introspection and self-determination. Breaking those chains came at a heavy price, yet, in the end, I found a new way of living; I found ME. Moments after he drove into the sunset, I bought myself an amazing BC Rich bass and amplifier, was gifted a strat and some recording equipment... ...after which, the stars rewarded me with something real: I ran into Ronnie and married him, the sculptor of my young, passionate heart. 8. We started writing together, mostly songs, formed a band, finally playing CBGB's. Hooked back up with all the friends I had left behind. I found out that life is what you make it, but, that nothing is constant. He died, leaving me to recreate life, once again, now, completely on MY terms. 9. Which leads me to today, lesson #9, which I am still learning. Trying to figure out how to craft this new course. My heart tells me to do a 180, but, I'm presently stuck in a mental conundrum. It was so much easier with a side-kick to share the fun of discovery with! I know what I want, my passions still run deep, but, it looks like I'm going no where fast. At least I still have me, but, there's not much fun in being your own best friend! Thanks for sharing! I enjoyed reading your story. You are too cute and I wish you the best on #9 .. you'll figure things out! :) |

Taking a wilderness survival course for three months in the Arizona desert. And, deciding that, no matter what, I won't support or comply with our system of increasing totalitarianism. |
