Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1505901 Get a smaller house, or apartment if you're stressing about your monthly payment. Peace of mind is priceless. Spend more time with family. Say "I love you". They won't be there forever. Stop caring about mainstream media, including the news, TV, etc. It's all a lie to keep you from the truth. Spend more time outside, and in nature. Take a walk through the park. Enjoy a sunset. Go to the beach. In love, don't be with someone because of their job, their income, or becuase your parents like them. Choose whoever makes you happy. Open your mind. Take up something you've always wanted to learn whether it's cooking, painting, or playing an instrument. Don't worry about what society thinks. We have been trained with mental lists of what's "acceptable" and what's not. Embrace your differences, and dare to be creative. Anyone who's someone dared to "break the mold". Pursue a job you love. Too many people hate their jobs. That's an indication that their gifts and abilities lie in a different area. Ask yourself what field you would find fullfillment in. Take your time. We are always rushing through an endless string of activities. We're too busy to even enjoy them! Sit down. Call up a friend. Relax! |

OP is not a gamer because he realizes he owns the whole pie -- and everyone else can own it too. OP, would you like to tell how you have this insight? For example, did you meditate often, etc.? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 22573986 United States 10/09/2012 12:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I lost my job a few years ago. It was 6 months before I got another one, and in the meantime, My family and I lived in a really nice place. the owner was in foreclosure, so we settled on paying him less, while he wasn't paying the bank. Long story short, we moved, started paying 800 a month less than what we'd paid before, I ended up getting more jobs at the same pay as before, and we absolutely LOVED our new place! We have an apartment, people around us who are wonderful. We save a TON every month, and the feeling around our place is wonderful! We were in a wealthy area, where, it seemed, everyone was very concerned about who had the coolest car, SUV, Pool, THINGS, you know? Where we are now, they just don't give a shit about what anyone thinks. They care about who you are. And it IS SO WONDERFUL! Everyone cares about each other, we all grow our own vegetables, we help each other carry things up and down stairs. If someone leaves something in the laundry, someone else folds it for them, we take leftover soups and food to our neighbors just as a treat, we have get together barbeques just to sit and talk. It really is amazing. I'm so glad I've been able to experience this part of human nature. Simple really REALLY is better. |

Thank you all so much for your kind words. I just had these thoughts last night ,and decided to jot them down. I didn't really think many people would read this thread, and am pleasantly surprised. I don't know if it would be considered meditating, but I take a few minutes every day to try and follow my own advice. I relax, enjoy the fresh air, and try not to stress about things. |
