When we focus on the pain that others have caused us, and we ask what we did wrong to deserve this and how God could have allowed us to be hurt, think of how He wants you to heal. Forgive those who have wronged you, and let them live with the realization that they caused your pain. You cannot allow them to continue to hurt you, because at that point, you are only hurting yourself and they are oblivious to what they did wrong. At the same time, forgiveness does not work if you are not genuine. You must be honest with yourself, and release the anger inside of you before you are able to truly forgive someone. Once you do, you will feel as if God Himself has lifted you up, and taken the burden off of you - because He has :-)  "Be still, and know that I am God."
