Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25143071 ^^ This It's not like it's a secret! When it comes to the surface so hot that it needs to be diluted before people can use it.....it's not rocket science folks that if you drill down a little ways it will be hot enough to produce steam. AND when it comes to the surface in 20+ places warm enough to be an attraction to the locals.....it's not a secret that there is tons of it down there. Some sites see their busiest times in mid winter since that's when it's funnest go outdoor swimming. :) If you hike some of the rivers, you will see 50+ places in a single river where the geothermal activity is present. Sometimes it's just the discoloration...sometimes the smell, sometimes it's just warm enough to not freeze in the winter, but it's there. The funniest part is....some of those rivers aren't known for geothermal activity...the 'hotspring' where people swim/soak will be two canyons north or south of where you could be hiking and finding all the surface demonstrations of geothermal activity.
