| Soul Wave User ID: 25580074 10/14/2012 08:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Maybe he will come to his senses and leave the military, maybe he will realise that signing up to a death squad is not the way forward in this world. Maybe he will realise that war is hideous, and although it is legal to kill someone in a uniform, it is still hideous and wrong in God's laws. He knew what he signed up for when he signed up, at that moment he chose to serve an army, a death squad of legal murderers all under an acceptable, legal government name. Hopefully he will come to his senses and see where he went wrong when he signed up like thousands of others, would he have signed up if it did not involve murder but purely a force of protection, and if it was not based on a wage, a salary. Maybe he will realise that a wage should not make man do anything for it. Maybe one day he will come to the realisation of these things, and when he holds up his gun to shoot dead the man in front of him whom he has never met before in his entire life, knows nothing about, but ended his life because his leader told him to for that salary, he will have remorse for signing up to a destructive force that will keep his family in torment that he too may die from the bullet of a stranger feeling just the same way that he does, for a wage. Until then, I hope he keeps safe and that you do not have to suffer bereavement at word of his death. I do hope that he comes to realise that there is no peace in the military and their wars, I hope his children learn this before he has to loose his life in a game supported by a wage. God bless you and your family, and hope that senses are met before the reaper takes that chance away!! |

This is what people forget. Why do folks sign up for the mil? Money. Young and Idealistic? A future. I grew up in a ghetto and the recruiters would always sell a future to us. They would pay for college, give us a job, rainbows and butterflies. Sadly a lot of people fell for that. Hardly anyone can afford college and joining a military branch is one way to get an education with racking up the debt. On the other hand, some kids are just natural defenders and want to serve their country even if they don't understand the war. Others are just violent and see it as a way of easy murder. People sign up for different reasons. Quoting: Saddletramp Finally someone said it Amendment I Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. |
| Ranger XRay User ID: 11002976 10/14/2012 09:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I signed up for the Marine Corps when I was 17 with my mother giving her consent. I KNEW full well what I was getting myself into, especially considering that I wanted to be a Marine since I was a kid and that paid off in both lots of good and bad times. Joining the Service is never something anyone should take to lightly. Doing an honorable tour for one's country has it's perks to be, but the drawbacks are equally stifling. Being subjected to another politicians foreign policy that gets us killed or injured in the line of duty truly blows in immeasurable ways. Sometimes honor is not enough... The times have changed dramatically every since the Vietnam War. To me it seems like all of the new battles and conflicts that are being fought are over false foreign policies that are inherently designed to wage economic wars and to shift social thinking of the target country. It would be damn nice to see our nations politician/bureaucrats have sons/daughters serving, but that's like asking for a Divine miracle from the madness that is currently enveloping us. Many folks have differing reasons for joining the Service so as a favor to those who like to dissuade, mock, accuse, or put down those of us who have serve and those who wish to serve, I have a silent, but very thoughtful visage for you... ![]() The OP was trying to inform folks of two very specific items: 1.)His brother has been activated for redeployment to parts unknown. 2.)He truly did feel it was worth letting the gang here @ GLP know that something is afoot in terms of his brother's recall to active duty. To me the matter is self-evident. The Active Duty Reserves and the IRR are about to go to an upgraded alert status and that some major shit is coming down the pipe. I highly doubt that the OP was being an attention whore. That's one thing I have learned here about certain AC's and hence the need to be an AC, is that critical responses to something most have never even remotely faced EVER in their lives lends to a certain aspect of cyber-hubris that requires one to get bitch-slapped. Generally speaking, I do not get bent over lame comments, but this one got my attention and deserved a serious rebuttal. Most of you all know what is coming, it's all in the variables. As I have mentioned before in other threads, there are way too many moving parts and the NWO/Globalists are in fact, very afraid of the people. Why? Because the people are WAKING UP!!!! Albeit a wee too late. Situational awareness requires clarity of mind and discernment at reviewing the daily bullshit and they know the people are on to them, hence their rapid pace at generating as much controlled chaos to keep us (the people), off balance. In the final analysis, whatever may come you had all best be wishing the best to the men and women of valor that are on the line. They do what they're ordered to do because of the idiots that voted for Mr. "Change That You Can Believe In" and his predecessors would make a true difference, guess what! It did not work. Same policies. Differing Agendas. Same flag draped coffins returning home. You want a difference, you had best get more political parties sprouting out to ensure that a change does come. Yet, I cannot help but to see what is truly coming our way and all that we can do is hope for the best and prepare for the worst because the men and women of valor are getting the shit firsthand in many different ways. What we as a people are going to get will be unlike anything we have ever seen in modern times and many here back home will be paying the ultimate price. No flag draped coffins then. Think about it... As always gang. Stay frosty. Thanks to those who offered both their thanks and understandings to those who have served, are serving, and who have passed on in battle wherever they may be. Semper Fidelis GLP! Its not IR, in active you do PT and can sign up for plenty of stuff to keep you busy and making $. Active Reserve gets first pick for making $, which is how it should be. In AR you can get called back at any time, not like the IR. |

What they get is boredom, training to terrorize civilians, a few pennies, travel to untenable shitholes, more boredom briefly interrupted by periods of terror and mental illness. The Peace Corp is a far better deal -- serving humanity instead of warmongering criminals. |

After all the years of bullshit my buddies and I went through serving the people that elect individuals to run our government we feel the same, now that we are greatly older. The military is a wonderful machine to be apart of. I'm grateful for the privilege. But, even those who make it through the first to the last pay dearly the rest of their lives. The Military stands apart from the people and the individuals the people elect to run the government. The people who serve is a gift to the free people that elect the government. When you serve you give up your rights no matter what they say. You serve. When i hear and see the people behaving negatively towards those in the military it makes me laugh. Why don't all you free people do something so your might (military) can do something. Wake up and educate yourselves. Make the sacrifice of service be understood and honored. For it's a service to the people who elect! Blame yourselves. Paycheck dude, you can fuck off. cheers |

I think he said he was now Active Reserve or something cause he had like 2yrs left on his contract. Well his 2yrs are almost up and they sent a letter to my dads telling him he has to report to houston airport i guess to go back to california. I have not been able to talk to him about. But it seems they are wanting to deploy him again. Where idk, but i have a good feeling on what they are planning. I see people are putting stuff about wars they believe are coming up, so i figured i would throw that out there. I will update when i talk to him, which should be later this evening. Quoting: Guarnere09 I already know his stance on this tho, because we talked about what was going on over there, and he doesnt agree with it. Pathetic politicians. OP I did some research. Looks like he may be on his way to the Jordan-Syrian border [link to www.globalresearch.ca] |

Many coming in have been playing for anywhere between 8 years to 20+ when they join. They are already professionals and that is why they get paid at a higher rank.
