Dude...3.6 is strong by chinese standards...all the beer I ever get in restaraunts is only 2.2...get a headache trying to get a buzz from it but what the hell...only cost .50 U.S.

chinese have some genetic thing where they turn bright red when mixed with alchohol... if we could somehow find it and isolate it would be a great western solution for alchoholism.... public humilation.

interestngly, the ABC (america born chinese) tend to have a lesser version, if at all.... so it could be some kind of environmental thing.... a genetic addition to keep the vast population of china from srinking too much and gettin' BOLD.

Well, if you really wanna strong, i believe there are quite amount of wine here with alcoholicity from 38% to 70%.

While I have had decent Japanese beers, China has not produced a drinkable beer that I know of. It's like they have created a cheap knockoff of piss-water American style beers like Coors light. So they are poor versions of poor beer.

Its not, there is no such thing. Wine can be fortified to a port, but it is no longer a wine (around 20-25%). Distilled grapes can be used to create a brandy, but again, not a wine, and usually a max of 45% alchohol. Only certain herbal alcohols can be distilled to the 70% range.

i reckon the best thing about visiting china would be all the yummy food at the restaurants... and yeh why dont you just stick to drinking some of their nice wine to go with the food and you should be fine..
