In Mein Kampf he also admits that he experienced a vision, and heard a voice, while lying in a military hospital after being blinded in a gas attack.

"And then the Voice thundered at me: "Miserable wretch, are you going to cry when thousands are a hundred times worse off than you!"

And then, the Voice spoke again and he experienced a wonderful vision of the utmost clarity:

"I was being summoned to save Germany.... I would go into politics."

But these were not his first experiences with the Voice that had proclaimed him the future leader of Germany, for it had spoken to him many times before, including, in 1905, when he was 17 years old! The young Adolf had just left an opera with his good friend, August Kubizek. The young Hitler seemed to be seized by a presence, and then Voice spoke and told him he would be the savior of Germany - And, Hitler had never even been to Germany! He was born in Austria and had been living in the city of Linz when the Voice explained his future. Moreover, his good friend, Kubizek also heard the Voice which spoke through Hitler's mouth. As Kubizek later explained, it was as if Adolf was possessed a demon!

I gotta side with The Terminator on this one.

Hitler may have been a Grade A Evil Bastard, but he was also a helluva orator. You don't drive a nation to the brink of insanity unless you are a spellbinding speaker.
