Well, she has a good point re: poor white trash that still vote Republican. Republican policies have very little to offer such folks, really. The "Tea Party" has actually convinced people to vote against their own interests.
How much of a "tax cut" is a guy living in a trailer who barely has two spare dimes to rub together going to receive again?
Maybe Obama was on to something with his remark about "clinging to guns and religion" after all. People are so stupid and easily (mis)lead.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24152885 I think you are coming close to hitting the nail on the epicenter with your comment: "The "Tea Party" has actually convinced people to vote against their own interests." Therein lies the difference between conservatives and liberals - liberals are self-worshiping and thus can be counted upon to vote for their own interests, while conservatives will vote for the greater good even if it means foregoing self-interests! I know the two party system is a sham, but the point, I think, is clear.
