Just wondering was all that salt added at flooding or was the salt added later to make the waters raise even higher?

Maybe aliens, Sumerians, Gods or whoever decided to simply flood rinse the Earth below in an attempt to mine gold, especially monotonic gold, extracting what they could from the water. All these aliens had to do really.. was just turn up with a metal detector to find heavy metals, but.. no.. they just flood rinse the whole planet with a massive bucket of water.. not giving a damn about how inconvenient it may be to the inhabitants below. Or was the Earth on fire, so the Inter-Galatic fire service had to flood the Earth? Or maybe it was the Inter-Galatic police using powerful water hoses from aloft onto the Earth below to wash us lot away looking up & moaning at them? Moses seem to have a trick up his sleeve at keeping the water at bay, maybe using amplified standing sound waves to repel the water. Or maybe Moses was just as freaked out as everyone else was.. but we do have an awful lot of water on Earth.
