You can still make money with paper silver. Sure, if you buy into the whole TSHTF scenario (or even if you don't) by all means stash away some physical. Personally I don't think the S is gonna HTF at all, but still have some physical as an alternative to keeping thousands in the bank as an "emergency fund".

However, for buying dips and selling high paper is the way to go. I haven't done it, but looking back over the past few years one can see that it would have been possible to make a bunch of money just by watching the markets, paying attention to Fed announcements, etc.

That’s why you should only invest in junk silver, small tradable amounts in easily identifiable and acceptable as payment. I avoid bullion for a few reasons.

China will be faking junk silver soon at this rate though.

Lot of gullible people, you there that do not realize there is not enough silver to fill all the paper silver certificates, it has been oversold.

when they tell you not to do something...do it.

I've always imagined during a situation such as when SHTF, if I had food stockpiled, someone may come asking to trade my food for their silver bars.

And I then try to imagine what use I will have for silver bars when SHTF..

Someone needs to make an algorithm that takes all the MSM BS and does the opposite with a delay to let the sheeple first invest then short before the banksters so you can get higher returns then the bankers.

And vice versa.

Those paper notes will be worthless.

Hopefully you sell your silver right when it peaks to buy useful items before TSHTF. The point is that you trade your silver... not except silver for trade.

First you trade to the banksters for anything you find of good use. Then, when they're out of the picture, you take what you have leftover and put it to good use.

Colloidal silver will be worth its weight (in silver) when the antibiotics run out.

Also from a metal smith perspective, pure silver is a pleasure to work with. Silverware got its name because the antibacterial properties of silver are superior to any other metal. "Born with a silver spoon in your mouth" used to refer to good health while you were growing up.

Silver will be about as worthless as cash if a true SHTF scenario happens. At least right out of the gate or until a new monetary system can be put into place. The only things that will hold value in a massive collapse will be things that have an actual use. Things like medicine, food, alcohol, drugs, batteries, fuel, etc. will be currency. Not some worthless metal that has no actual use.

But worry not, that level of collapse will NEVER happen.

If you need supplies or run out of certain food items, tools, you will need your silver in addition to just swapping items. Or you need gas or other fuels, transportation, lighting, medicine.

In africa people with literally nothing to eat pan for gold all day for a few grains so they can eat for one day.
Food & supplies are sold off trucks for gold.
