Silver will be about as worthless as cash if a true SHTF scenario happens. At least right out of the gate or until a new monetary system can be put into place. The only things that will hold value in a massive collapse will be things that have an actual use. Things like medicine, food, alcohol, drugs, batteries, fuel, etc. will be currency. Not some worthless metal that has no actual use.

But worry not, that level of collapse will NEVER happen.
