Why is Obama in Trouble ? I'll tell you my experience today.

The only unions Obama really helps are the government worker unions like AFSCME and SEIU and their ilk. I'm a Teamster, and I don't see anyone in the skilled trade unions benefiting from what he's doing.
I live in SW PA and I'll tell you there are many Democrats who are not voting for him. In the primary, in my area, some counties had as many as 40% of the people who were registered Democrat who did not pull the lever for Obama. That's astounding, and if even half those votes go to Romney, PA itself might be in play.
In 2008, I received probably 5 flyers from Obama and none from McCain. This cycle, I've received 4 from Romney and none from Obama, so there's a ground game gap also.
On the ground, there have been people going to large minority neighborhoods trying to register people, but I've heard from several Democratic committee people that no one is interested in registering.
In 2008, Obama had young people and minorities voting for him in droves. While I doubt they're jumping to Romney, I do think they'll be staying home here and in other places. The projections based on the turn out model from that time will be dead wrong.

And what exactly has expanded in this economy? Why the government employees...or at least those who will tow the line. The government claims to expand growth and yet cant even keep the postal service running effectively. My government sucks, I need the government out of my life. There is nothing the government does locally to keep people employed at any scale except to hinder growth. I'll be a felon if I can't produce health care for myself consistently for years to come, and shoulder the burden for those I'd like to employ without facing tons of hiddens costs.... Unemployment benefits, healthcare, shit man I should just offer to pay their gas as well to get to work and an alarm clock? Oh, and they need new sheets for their bed to sleep comfy too...fuck this. Your fired. I'm tossing the towel in to get my benefits for a new escalade, if others can do it...... It must be the new way to go. NOT.
