Why is Obama in Trouble ? I'll tell you my experience today. | |

I'm a Teamster, and I don't see anyone in the skilled trade unions benefiting from what he's doing. In the primary, in my area, some counties had as many as 40% of the people who were registered Democrat who did not pull the lever for Obama. That's astounding, and if even half those votes go to Romney, PA itself might be in play. In 2008, I received probably 5 flyers from Obama and none from McCain. This cycle, I've received 4 from Romney and none from Obama, so there's a ground game gap also. On the ground, there have been people going to large minority neighborhoods trying to register people, but I've heard from several Democratic committee people that no one is interested in registering. In 2008, Obama had young people and minorities voting for him in droves. While I doubt they're jumping to Romney, I do think they'll be staying home here and in other places. The projections based on the turn out model from that time will be dead wrong. BINGO! I am in SE PA (Phila), and construction is in the toilet and has been for awhile. Layoffs are becoming more and more common, and its feast and famine work. Luck to land a gig every couple months. Heres my opinion...I believe the big push against "unions" really isnt the trade unions, but the Public Sector unions as mentioned above. These snakes skim tax payer dollars from the pay and pensions of these supposed "public servants", and then launder it right back to the Democrats. They utilize government facilities to campaign and even produce campaign literature for Democrat candidates. I saw this for myself when I was doing a gig in Trenton in a State building back in 2008. And what exactly has expanded in this economy? Why the government employees...or at least those who will tow the line. The government claims to expand growth and yet cant even keep the postal service running effectively. My government sucks, I need the government out of my life. There is nothing the government does locally to keep people employed at any scale except to hinder growth. I'll be a felon if I can't produce health care for myself consistently for years to come, and shoulder the burden for those I'd like to employ without facing tons of hiddens costs.... Unemployment benefits, healthcare, shit man I should just offer to pay their gas as well to get to work and an alarm clock? Oh, and they need new sheets for their bed to sleep comfy too...fuck this. Your fired. I'm tossing the towel in to get my benefits for a new escalade, if others can do it...... It must be the new way to go. NOT. That made way for the rise of the financial services industry. Look where that got us. |

The problem is that the Democrat party is no longer recognizable to the rank and file union member, but their leaders blindly support them. The last real Democrat, IMHO, was John F Kennedy. Two former Goldman Sachs execs are on the board. Their software was rigged to flip Ron Paul's votes to Romney. Proven by many algorithmic studies. They even pulled that stunt in Ron Paul's district, where he takes about 75% of the vote always. They flipped it to Romney. The data was so clear that a 5 year old could see the hinge points where it was flipped. Election fraud big time. But you do see the FEC or the FBI doing anything about it.
