I'm an artist and even I don't care that you're an artist... Why do you want people to care? Just do what you love and love what you do.

Trust me, brother/sister....most of the religious Right would consider their 'god' an artist....and as 'we' are created in 'his' image...we are persecuted....What's THAT tell ya'?

A real artist can take Lumber Materials and build a house.

A real artist contracts Multi Million dollar deals to keep his factory and employees working.

Your art will be worth more when you're dead than when you're still alive.

It's called the real world!

Besides, all artists must struggle and starve before/ if they ever make it big.

We have many comon experieces beyond 'normal' modes of expression. Find one of these that have had an impact on you and honestly interpret it. If you do it right you open a door of comunication to others this combind w/ real honesty and you get your goal - You 'touch' someone.
The idea of 5 sense is bull there are more then 5 and only 1. Good luck and rember do the work that gets you off.

Artists are all part of the picture. Even there art is apart of the picture.

For the record: I couldn't agree more about what you're saying. I'm a graphic artist by trade (hence, GFX guy) and make good money by todays standards. I work independently and have done so for more than a decade.

But it looks like the OP is off on some kind of weird trip, talking about some kind of crap. We've been duped.

No Artists are great people. They see the world in the most idealistic terms through color and imagery. Artists are creative and imaginative. They use the gift of sight to inspire the world for a better tomarrow!

Creativity is needed in all walks of life and should be
valued and cared for. The visual artist has a very unique
responsibility, the value of which is due to its multilevel impact.
I care and I realize how important it is that our gifts
are used to benefit mankind. The day will come when most will
realize when we help people be who they were meant to be, it benefits everyone.
Until then, we are in a very, very negative and cynical time.

Not caring that you are an Artist is very sad.
Throughout all history and in most cultures this gift was highly valued.
Its not you, the present negativity will never win over the power of Truth and Consciousness.
Do it anyway.
