Re: Are women allowed to preach and teach in the church? Or are we to be silent?
The gift of discerning of spirits are given to those who have a true heart for truth. Because you're going to see many things! Many things that the world says is true is not. Jesus functioned in this gift almost constantly. It was how He could tell if people were possessed, tempting him, he could tell much from this gift.

With the gift you can hear demons talk, you can see them in the spirit, or God can just tell you information. Like that pastor has 2 demons and their names are doubt and fear. God will just tell you that information. You will just instantly know it.

My husband and I were in a false church. It was just a regular church, a Mennonite Church, just like any church you see around you today. It didn't believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. It's a very long story. I was delivered first, then my husband, then we were shown our church was false. I've spent 30 years trying to find the real church.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20586262

Do you know why you have not found what you are looking for in those 30 years? It's because you are looking for something where it cannot be found.

Look inwardly, not outwardly. The answers to all of your questions already reside within you. Nothing external to you will ever provide you with the answers that you are looking for. Follow your heart.
 Quoting: ANHEDONIC

I'm am following it and I will continue to follow it and I will find out my answer someday because the bible says seek and thee shall find. And the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church. You know that's a promise. That these demons I saw in these false church people can't prevail against the church.

That is frequently done out of kindness, Mary.

My responsiveness is to God anyway.

Agree. When a person tries to turn every... single... thread... into a catholic infomercial, the kindest thing to do is ignore them. Sometimes communication just isn't possible.

agreed.
i have experience with Mary. things are best just left alone
 Quoting: Salt

Interestingly enough, I had lunch with a Catholic priest on Saturday. I liked him a lot. We had a great talk on evangelism and similar things.

I should have asked him about Mary's "Great Warning," but I didn't think of it.

I'm going to get real stupid here but you might all be very surprised, I just might be the woman in Revelation 12. We'll all see someday when we are in our place of safety. We'll know then!

Forgive the analogy, but I might as well say I could be the Great Pumpkin.

Seriously, no individual woman is the one in Rev. 12. There is nothing in the context, in any commentary, in any message I've ever heard that even considers her anything but symbolic. And while we will all certainly be surprised about something, I'm absolutely sure this isn't on the list.

But I do hope you find people locally that you can talk to about these things. I really do.

Yes, but the genuineness of the gift of discernment is how we respond to those attacks. So in a way, the attacks are a filter or test to the validity of the gift.

And it would seem that you handle it just fine! hf

You're all still stuck in the matrix.
Cherry-picking.
Degrading yourselves in the form of obedience and holy submission which is folly.

None of which is backed by anything credible.
Take off your glasses which blind you from reality.
You only do as you say because you are inundated by illusion.

So you choose not to obey paul who was chosen by jesus? Good luck with that.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 498396

Paul was NOT "chosen" by Jesus, Jesus blinded him with fireworks and the shock of it left him open to teaching, but he was not sent by Jesus to teach. He causes much harm in fact

Acts 9:11 The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying. 12 In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight.”

13 “Lord,” Ananias answered, “I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem. 14 And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name.”

15 But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. 16 I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”

Re: Are women allowed to preach and teach in the church? Or are we to be silent?
No, they are not to preach. You can't find a woman preacher or priest anywhere in the bible. Show me a bible verse of one and I'll agree with you.

Woman can do a lot like prophesy, gifts of the Holy Spirit, be called disciples, be helpers of the church, but nowhere is there ever one preacher in the New Testament to the church, SORRY!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20586262

Of course we are, the Bible was written back in a time where women where considered chattel. Of course women's wisdom would not be included.

The Devil loves the sin of feminism and it seems rife on this thread. Puke.

Just another philosophy Satan offers to draw many away from God.

Many aspects of their teachings have been incorporated into the female mind.......and pride stands in the way of letting those things go.

God resists those who are proud.

Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord.....and He will lift you up.

"Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.

"For the husband is the head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.

"Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.

It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and angry woman. (Proberbs 21:19)

It is better to dwell in a corner of a housetop, than in a house shared with a contentious woman (Proverbs 25: 24)

So guys.....if she is just contending with you each day about every little thing.......then go to the roof.

If angry AND contentious......then a wilderness area is advised.

Hi, I'm back...

Read the last verse in Revelation Chapter 11, John lets
you know who the "woman" is in Chapter 12 besides, Chapter
12 makes it absolutely clear.

Read the last verse in Chapter ll of Revelation. The
Ark of the New Covenant in Heaven is Mary.

Some verses in Scripture have double meanings. This is
is true of Revelation 12:1. Above all other meanings,
the "woman" in Revelation 12:1 is Mary. Read further in
Chapter 12, ONLY Mary brings forth the man child. The
lessor meanings are the Church or Israel.

Now connect this...no where in Scripture does a son ever
call his mother Woman. Why does Jesus keep refering to
His mother as "woman" in the Gospel? Because He is God
and He knows the full plan. Mary is the "woman" in
Genesis 3:15 and the royal sounding "woman" in Revelation
12:1.

The KJV completely changed the verse, Genesis 3:15.
Here is what the first Bible said, the Latin Vulgate.

The English translation of the Vulgate is the Douay-Rheims.
Read the footnote. Everything is by God, it is the Blessed
Trinity's plan that Mary crush the head of the serpent.

[link to www.drbo.org]

I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.

[15] She shall crush: Ipsa, the woman; so divers of the fathers read this place, conformably to the Latin: others read it ipsum, viz., the seed. The sense is the same: for it is by her seed, Jesus Christ, that the woman crushes the serpent's head.
