They had already happened when he made his forecast, and he obviously didn't mean them or he would have claimed them. Read the times: "Signal Detected at 0225utc/2225est." on 10/08/2012. He didn't make clear that the 0225utc crossed over to 10/09/2012. 22:25est (really EDT) on 10/08/2012 is equal to: 02:25UT on 10/09/2012. Add 4 hours to EDT to get UT. So his timing was: 10/09/2012 : 02:25UT to 08:25UT(6hrs) and actually, taking into account his 15 minute start delay: 10/09/2012 : 02:40UT to 08:25UT. The largest quake in this window was 5.5 A miss. |
