The Book of Enoch is not contained in the Canon
so why do you all argue over it? There are many

Once Jesus died, a new covenant was entered into whereby faith in his Blood becomes the ONLY requirement for justification in the sight of the Lord.


The dead in Christ will indeed rise and meet with the Lord in the air as described in the following passages:

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 - The dead in Christ shall rise to meet him in the air
1 Corinthians 15:52 - The trumpet will sound and the dead [in Christ] will be raised imperishable.
Revelation 20:4-5 - They [The ones who were beheaded for their FAITH in Christ] came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

Still, you fail to show how we are justified by works. Those under the new covenant (everyone alive since the death of Christ) are justified by faith alone. This faith will then produce good works.

Mate, all I had to do was read halfway through the first post to find two of the scriptures I posted that mention that the dead in Christ will rise to be with him. You yourself are posting these teachings and then you turn around and ask me to show you where it says that the dead go to Heaven?

Why would you deliberately pose a question you already knew the answer to whilst making it appear that such a thing will not happen?

Do you believe the dead in Christ will rise to live with him or do you not?

The precept is that those who call on the name of the Lord will be saved. It has been this way since the Lord Jesus died for us. On that day, law was replaced with grace.

Joel specifically mentions the 'Day of the Lord' but this does not negate that calling on the name of the Lord is what will actually save us.

Many will call on the name of the Lord and be saved on that day. Perhaps many of those who currently believe that it is by works that we are saved.

Indeed the Holy Spirit has been given to those who obey God, and the first way in which we obey him is to accept his Son. When we do this we are saved and given the gift of the Holy Spirit. We then go on to obey him further by loving one another and sharing the Gospel with ALL MEN.

The Pharisees were furious at the apostles because they taught that it is through Jesus and his blood that we are saved, not by the works of the law. This is why they wanted to kill the apostles because their power over the people was threatened.
