Reverse osmosis gets rids of Fluoride.

Berkey & zero water filters get rid of it.

Flouride particles are mega small, almost like a Gas.

So to remove them, u need a fancy filter.

You can get them but it's not them norm

A 2 stage filter might have one stage for particulates and another of activated charcoal to improve taste. But that is no assurance that is removes fluoride, fertilizers or chemicals (especially petroleum products)

If fluoride didn't do such a good job of keeping people dumbed down, they wouldn't be so adamant about keeping it the water supplies. In Austin, TX people have been fighting like crazy to keep it out, and nope, city council won't have it regardless of what the people want.

Well damn. I cant even get a decent over the counter filter at my local store. The only choice i see that i can purchase in store is an osmosis filtering set up that has to be instaled under the sink. And its not cheap.

Any other alternatives?

Re: Have ya'll seen the new pur water filters now say they filter out chemicals except healthy fluoride, LOL
Question: What Is Fluoride?
Are you confused about the difference between fluoride and fluorine or simply want to know what fluoride is? Here's the answer to this common chemistry question.
Answer: Fluoride is the negative ion of the element fluorine. Fluoride often is written as F-. Any compound, whether it is organic or inorganic, that contains the fluoride ion is also known as a fluoride. Examples include CaF2 (calcium fluoride) and NaF (sodium fluoride). Ions containing the fluoride ion are similarly called fluorides (e.g., bifluoride, HF2−).
To summarize: fluorine is an element; fluoride is an ion or a compound which contains the fluoride ion.

Water fluoridation usually is accompished by adding sodium fluoride (NaF), fluorosilicic acid (H2SiF6), or sodium fluorosilicate (Na2SiF6) to drinking water.
-- [link to chemistry.about.com]

It has been proposed that any positive effects of flouride are simply due to it's toxic nature causing developmental delay in tooth eruption. Also recently flouride has been linked, due to being THE most reactive element, to increased aluminum uptake into the brain. Alzheimer's disease sufferers are commonly found with abnormal deposits of aluminum in the brain.

You need this compound called 'alumina' to reduce fluoride.

I've been buying filters off this guy on Ebay and purifying my own water. Once you install the outfit, you just replace the filters twice a year

OP I've had the same issue and finally went back to dragging containers to the reverse osmosis places for 25 cents a gallon. I initially bought a PUR filter because I didn't want my water sitting in plastic containers. It sucks, seems to be impossible to simply have pure water.
