Anonymous Coward User ID: 25236122 Netherlands 10/09/2012 10:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation	Browser hangs due to GLP Internet Explorer was hanging for more than 10 minutes - until I succeeded in closing it after multiple attempts. I had 8 or 9 GLP tabs open, but in the status bar (at the bottom of the window) it said [link to platform.twitter.com] was loading, but it just kept loading all that time with the browser frozen. I re-opened Internet Explorer with the same tabs, and the same problem occurred. So I think there is a real problem with those Twitter widgets which freeze the browser.

The 11.4 series of Flash player is really bad. Chrome does seem to be the way to go.

It's the most annoying thing when customers come in complaining about chrome, firefox, etc. None of their web sites display properly unless they use IE. They're using windows to begin with, so just use the software that works best with the OS. If you're concerned about security, by all means, boot crux linux and run firefox with noscript, etc. I am a disciple of my mind.
