what about Gary Johnson and Jill Stein. There are four parties to chose from, not just two. Should all Ron Paul supporters now be giving their vote to the libertarian party? Has Ron endorsed Mitt?

Mormonism is heresy. That being said I think they live wonderfully devout lives and are great people who just need to steer away from false doctrine and embrace Jesus Christ as their only salvation and the Son Of God.

A Mormon in my book is better than a godless Communist any day of the week.

Re: Church goers challenge )))))) Religious Thread.))How educated are you on who you vote for??Not an endorsement thread
OP, you say you have been in many different denominations.

Mormonism is not a Christian denomination. It is not even Christian because it has its own Bible, and its own teachings attributed to its own made up version of God and the Messiah.

Mormonism is not even in the Judaeo/Christian tradition.

The Bible gives many examples of Kings in Israel were expected to behave, and the protocols by which they were chosen.

Above all, these protocols were democratic. Just as the LORD enntered into a mutually voluntary covenant with Israel, the king ruled by the consent of the people.

When the people acclaimed a king, that person was first annointed by a prophet and then invited to sit on a pile of clan robes given by the clan leaders of Israel. Jesus followed this procedure, except the prophet was Magdalene, and the robes were piled on the donkey that was bred from the stock of Abraham and Moses' donkey. Jesus rode into Jerusalem with the full authority of the clans and tribes of Israel.

When a king lost the acclamation of the people, as David did when he fled Jerusalem during Absalom's revolt, he lost the power. David would not allow Avishai to kill Saul's relative who shouted insults at him as he fled. David aknowledged that his aurthority was gone.

The Mormon Jesus does not play by Gods rules for kings (See the hebrew commentaries Hilkoth haMalkim - Rules for Kings. He comes with power and vast destructive force, unelected but chosen
sent from on high. He is more like a fucking American President than a benevolent king and shepherd.

As a Latter Day Saint I have need to tell you who we believe Christ to be!

All things center in Christ. He is the Firstborn of the Father. By obedience and devotion to the truth he attained that pinnacle of intelligence which ranked him as a God, as the Lord Omnipotent. As such under the Father, the Creator of this Earth and of worlds without number; and he was chosen to work out the infinite and eternal atonement, to come to this particular Earth as the literal Son of the Father, and to put the whole plan of redemption, salvation, and exaltation in operation.

The Savior truly visited his other sheep, and they recorded his teachings. They are precious to my soul.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2402379

After Jesus taught the Apostles and died, the church spread throughout the eastern world, plenty of evidence for that. When the americas were discovered there were no signs of Jesus teaching.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25244486

Sure they had signs of Jesus teaching!

Why do you they bowed down to the white man when he arrived? They knew the Savior was going to return!

Also the Book of Mormon documents a great war at the end where only a very few unbelieving would be left standing. These Laminites or Indians would receive the gospel again through the GENTILE at a much later time. The book of Mormon describes that the Indian will discover their VERY rich heritage in the last days.

They are a special people.

Currently their are more Latter Day Saints in South America than in North America.. I think. Africa is a huge hotbed of converts as well.

UNDERSTAND THIS!

Mormons have been brutally persecuted through out American History. We are VERY serious about respecting others free agency and choice!

We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.

We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.

We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.

We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.

We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.

We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.

We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.

We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.

We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.

We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.

We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.

We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
Joseph Smith

When you call a man your pastor or leader, yoU put both him AND his demons above you.

Mormons believe in a Jesus who is brother to Satan.

Is that the Jesus, the "only begotten Son" through whom Salvation comes?

I will not vote for either man. there is a reason the Illuminati want you to believe in the system:
1. they understand spiritual law. they know they gain power over you if you lend your "God speed" to them.
2. They believe most fear facing the truth, so they make the show- something to entertain the cringing masses who don't want to accept a hard truth.

History was made when President Obama was elected, and history will be made if Romney is elected, I am not endorsing either one in this post.
The challenge is this, if you are going to vote for Romney and you have never gone to a service of the Church of Mormons , GO BEFORE YOU VOTE. Voting for a person to lead our country is one of the most important things we do and it is so hard to really know that person as we know.

I have been in almost every Denomination of Church there is, except, Latter Day. I studied the history , went to Salt Lake, but my spirit was uncomfortable with that practice.

Just like in marriage , when you marry someone you also marry their family, when you vote for someone it is not just a person , but their family, their beliefs and this is huge.

By going you will feel good or at least some what educated about your vote, there is lot of ugliness in politics and I have seen where most of you feel a uneducated person should not vote, so how educated are you, that are casting those stones.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21903530

The people in Israel didn't pick their king. They asked for one. But they didn't pick him. The king was chosen by God. The first was Saul. He lost his kingship when he lost favor with God. God had the prophet annoint David as the next king before he was even a teenager. The people didn't pick a child to be their king, God did. And the king ship was not democratic. It was a monarchy/dictatorship.

FYI- God only establishes two governments in the Bible.
1.) Israel which was a monarchy/dictatorship
2.) The kingdom of the millenial reign of Jesus Christ the King.

FYI- Neither were a democracy or a republic.

I am an American and love my freedoms (though feigning fast) and that is thanks to our government established by the forefathers.

There is only one type of governmental structure that could ever work long term and that is a benevolent dictatorship. The problem is, humans are incabable of remaining benevolent as absolute power corrupts absolutely. We are seeing first hand that a republic does not work long term as people corrupt easily.

If I may be blunt, and sorry if others have said this arleady (no time to read all posts):

Regardless of my votge, I would not attend a Mormon service because I believe they preach a false gospel. If I were hiring a contractor to build a home, I would prefer a highly competent and successful Mormon over an incompetent person who professes my beliefs. I have been there.

I'm not Morman but in this election I will choose a Mormon over a Muslim.

At least the Morman does not deny what his religious background is.

Obama Book Quotes - Educate Yourself NOW!
People educate yourself NOW before it's too late!

Obama in his own words about his white mom and more.

From Dreams From My Father:

"I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites."

"I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race."

"There was something about her that made me wary, a little too sure of herself, maybe and white."

"It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."

"I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa, that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself: the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela."

From Audacity of Hope:
And FINALLY...........and most scary:

"I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."
Actual quote from "Dreams from My Father" [pg. 100-101]:

To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets.

We smoked cigarettes and wore leather jackets. At night, in the dorms, we discussed necolonialism, Franz Fanon, Eurocentrism, and patriarchy. When we ground out our cigarettes in the hallway carpet or set our stereos so loud that the walls began to shake, we were resisting bourgeois society’s stifling constraints. We weren’t indifferent or careless or insecure.

We were alienated. But this strategy alone couldn’t provide the distance I wanted, from Joyce or my past. After all, there were thousands of so-called campus radicals, most of them white and tenured and happily tolerated. No, it remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.
