Re: Massive Radiation in Virginia
What is sad about the threat of radiation contamination is that..
by the time people realize what has happened to them.. it might be too late.

That is why we have protective and regulatory organizations in place.
The average person is not equipped to deal with these things.

It has been shown, by their own action and non-action, time and again, that the nuclear industry, the regulatory agencies and the . govs
are sleeping in the same bed and feeding from the same trough.

When they fail to protect the populace, and they have, most likely.. we are fucked.

son of a bitch.....i am in Va beach on vacation. I didnt notice anything yesterday, however we spent most of the day indoors since it was raining like crazy. Took a late night walk along the shore, but it was a quick one since it was so windy and rainy. I will have to keep an eye out for anytihng out of the ordinary.

Where are these readinsg coming from? Is it from multiple sources, or the single website? There must be someone out there with a rad meter that can take background cpm to confirm these readings.

It just sounds too strange that it has jumped to 1000 cpm so rapidly... A count of 100 cpm sustained is cause for public alert. 1000 cpm sustained is cause for evacuation! If this continues at this rate, and has been confirmed as accurate, then there is a catastrophic event taking place at a facility somewhere within that region. If you are in that area, you need to evaluate your situation carefully.
 Quoting: In-Situ

I'm pretty sure those are EPA readings. We're fucked and it's all because of Fukushima. No one wants to accept this inconvenient truth. It was never going to kill us right away but the rad levels have been increasing over the past 18 months.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10957384

Yes, but California would show high readings too, but they are normal. I used a pancake probe yesterday and collected background readings. They were normal sustained 25cpm. I don't think this event (if it even is one) is a result of Fukushima. But I do agree with the rest of your points regarding Fukushima. It is by far the most serious event taking place on the planet at this time, but no one is paying much attention...
 Quoting: In-Situ

I have been checking CPM/min ever since Japan and I live in both NJ and VA and I can say up until the last 2 months(i stopped because the readings were normal)the CPM in both states have been 20-40 CPM. There is a lot of dis-info. out there and a lot of noise to confuse the situation and they are doing a good job of it. Listen to this guy he makes a lot of sense and maintains a low profile and is not selling everything.

I have been studying this for 6 years on an intuition I received and it gets more real and clearer everyday what is happening.

IMHO, something big is on the way, such as a pole shift, massive cme, asteroid, etc. But they don't want you to be aware of it because it is not possible to save everyone. That is why we are having all the conflict in the world and everything is so strange as they are trying to confuse the situation.

I understand what and why the GOV. is doing what it is doing as they really have no choice. All I am saying is if you are aware follow your gut and do the research and take care of yourselves.

You may be correct about that..
If that could be proven, it would help to explain the motives of those who should be warning us about the contamination..

my mother in law's cancer came back for a third time...i dont know if that has anything to do with anything but just putting it out there...i live in port angeles, washington and i wonder if the radiation is affecting us too....it is so surreal, because it's' like this is the kind of stuff you just fantasize about or see in the movies. my hair has been coming out a little in recent months, but other than that i feel normal, but after reading about the person finding radiation exposure in their blood work, i think everyone should get their blood checked for radiation. i am getting a checkup at the end of this month and i am going to ask if i can get tested for radiation exposure...i walk everywhere as i dont have a car so i may be exposed to it more

If you think about 911 and what it accomplished, like the institution of the national security state and the mobilization of men, resources and military. Then go to the GOM oil spill and realize that it was intentional and not to kill us but to relieve geological pressure on the New Madrid fault to try and keep the lid on so to speak for as long as possible. Then just reflect on the FEMA camps, the coffins and all this draconian legislation and how we have dismantled the constitution you will realize something very big is going on. It is not the NWO as that is merely a cover for the strange goings on. Then think about the DOOMSDAY SEED VAULT, etc. Don't be reactionary merely reflect on it all and I believe you will come to the same conclusion.

My opinions are based on my research concerning fukushima and the nuclear industry.

However, that information is speculative and at this point, on this thread, I am sticking to the topic.. which is radiation contamination.

It is not that expensive, i will go there too
and than i will post the Results!

The cost of a full-body scan and a test for thyroid exposure is 12600 yen (about $160 US). Residents of Fukushima Prefecture and other evacuees are half-price. According to a company representative, “By collecting the test data, we also hope to contribute to the development of treatments for victims of radiation exposure.”
[link to en.rocketnews24.com]

If radiation exposure is suspected, a series of CBC (complete blood count) tests can be useful to monitor lymphocyte count as depletion may occur after exposure to radiation. However, if you believe that you have been exposed to radiation, we recommend you go to the emergency room immediately so that proper treatment can be administered as soon as possible.

Maybe you could pay for the evacuees and some children to get tests, too..

Fukushima municipalities forced to go it alone on radiation testing

[link to ajw.asahi.com]
[snip]

Radiation tests on Fukushima nuclear disaster evacuees and others are showing a significant reduction in exposure to radioactive cesium, but a shortage of machines to carry out the checks means that thousands of people are still waiting for reassurance.

Many evacuees were being left out. All 21,000 residents of Namie town were evacuated to other municipalities due to the nuclear accident, but only 3,574 people got a prefectural test. Many Namie residents continued to live in high-radiation areas for some time after the nuclear accident because of delays in their evacuation, and many have been waiting for months for checkups.

Although children, who are believed to be more vulnerable to radiation than adults, are being prioritized, the equipment is not designed for them.

Ryugo Hayano, professor of atomic physics at the University of Tokyo who took part in the meeting, said: “WBCs were originally developed for adults. So it is difficult to measure (radiation levels of) small children accurately. We are now studying better methods.”

to make Priorities like Babies, Kids, Pregnant Women first.

This Article is from the May, 24 now we have 10/11

The Clinic above is a private one and every Person
can visit her, this Clinic is not only for Expats
and the Price is not that high for Japan.
Fukushima Residents pay only the half Price!

As written above too we can see than a CBC is working also
very well and People with abnormalities would get a Full Check Up sooner than the Waiting List suggested!

I would have hoped that everyone in Japan would have had access to testing.. free of charge.. sponsored by Tepco..

That did not happen.

Much of the testing was done too late to detect the short-lived isotopes. Many have not been tested at all.

Nearly all the People in the Evacuation Facilities got checked
This happened in the first 36-48 Hours by arrival!

The People who evacuated by them self had the chance to
visit a governmental Hospital!

I am 100% sure that everyone who wanted had the chance
to consult a Medic.

And do not forget the Quake and the Tsunami,
People like you will not understand that Japan
stood still for a whole Week-10 Days
and afir more than 400.000 People needed medical Aid!

Re: Massive Radiation in Virginia
Explain this atom-bot..

Half of Fukushima children exposed to radiation say leaked data – but is even that too low?

Information released to the press by an anonymous government official on the results of thyroid gland tests taken on over 1000 children living around the devastated Fukushima-Daiichi nuclear power plant reveal nearly half of them show traces of radioactivity.

Slivyak contradicted the new assurances that there were no dangers to the screened children.

“All of them are at extremely high risk of contracting cancer at some point,” he said.

“It is difficult to trust the Japanese government when last spring it failed to evacuate people for long periods of time from areas that were highly radioactive,” he said.

Japanese health workers have begun checking more than 300,000 children living near the Fukushima nuclear plant for thyroid abnormalities.

The tests began after an unofficial survey which found that 10 out of 130 children evacuated from Fukushima had hormonal and other irregularities in the thyroid glands, according to AFP news agency.

But those who conducted the survey said they could not establish a link between the irregularities and Japan's nuclear crisis.

Their results will not be made public, but [if]edit they will receive treatment for any abnormalities.

More than 6,000 cases of thyroid cancer have been detected in people who were children or adolescents when exposed to the radioactive fallout after Chernobyl

Somebody, anybody... give me a rational reason for these results not to be released.

The chairman of Japan thyroid association is Yamashita Shunichi

[snip]

According to Dr. Yamashita Shunichi, you won’t be affected by radiation if you are smiling. He tested it with animals.

That explains why they didn't want to do biopsies on all those kids with thyroid lumps.

(that is the Original)
