I have decided that [ link to www.radiationnetwork.com] is useless, if not BS/disinfo. Maybe it's just averages - but if it spikes over 500, I want to know. In any case, the data do not agree. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9069073 Radiation Network is the only private radiation survey I know of. It is not controlled by any government agency. Their coverage is a little spotty because they are all volunteer. Every reporting station is an independant radiation monitor. The radiation meters are hooked directly to the computer, so nobody is controlling the reading. I trust Radiation Network way more than any other report, because they are not trying to control the info as it goes out. The only way you miss a high radiation event is if they don't have a reporting station near the event. When they get a high reading, they will figure out why and let you know what caused it. Quoting: Epic Beard Guy They are doing AVERAGES. If it's zero all day, then spikes to 500, the average will be very low. Plus, it would be easy for paid shills to join the network.
