Lets bring this thread back for Relavance.... Bayou is growing now to a dangerous size, and the undersalt is being eaten away....  After listening to the tapes of yesterdys's meeting, the Aquifer concerns voiced earlier in this thread seem to be proven to be accurate. Aquifer is contaminated, but how much? Tomorrow, pressure readings on the MRAA will be read and they are expected to be high. They have not mentioned the other aquifers, but I doubt that they are looking for trouble, just keeping the focus on their area of concern. The question was what caused the sinkhole. I firmly believe that the backfill of water from the macondo well is in fact sucking the water into the salt brine like a vaccuum. We should definately map out where other sink holes are forming in the swamp low lands of 150km near Bayou. I am no scientist, but careful consideration is needed to find out how much of that Salt brine is being affected just some 45 miles away from macondo well.
