these days a litescribe drive is pretty damned cheap (ide desktops are like 35 bucks at kmart and it's competitors). pretty much amortized handily if you burn 100 or so before it gives up the ghost. probably cheaper at computer shows too

Imagine the possibilities.... You could create a super light and flexible Solar panel that stores it's charge in one of these batteries, thus dropping the weight by like a tenth. Then, you could also mold the batteries into the framework of any device walls, thus creating more surface area and a smaller device footprint.

The solar panel idea maybe a real money maker. If you can charge at a fraction of the time and store for an extended time then this will be powering every home and small business

Now thats a great idea,I'd like to be solar power within 10 years,hopefully by then it'll be something like you suggested.

I.E., a very simple to make storage device for your 10 Watt solar panel.. or more. Who needs batteries to store the solar/electric panel's production. Something here for sure.

I think what is confusing is that it is called a CAPACITOR yet is a printed circuit. There must be more to it.

This Technology already exists and is patented. A company called Eestor has had this technology for years. It will be obscured from public use for obvious reasons. They have 2 patents, a contract with Lockheed-Martin and some big investors from MIT. But they say it doesnt work........wink-wink [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

Oh and I almost forgot. Eestor has a deal with Zenn motors from Canada to put these devices in electric cars (they have been talking about it for years now). But we all know this will "never" happen ! Never ! why ? Very Obvious ! wink-wink

Thanks for the info. Its sad,anything that produces cheap or free power is shut down. If we could get use of this stuff we would live a lot easier.

They need to release the plans and everything else open source so that it hits the street and the average joe has a shot of actually having something useful that helps save money instead of the greedy bastards keeping this off the market.
