When contaminated water is leaking, we have to use remote controlling robots [...] We can’t work for longer than 20 ~ 30 minutes. We need more workers. It can’t progress. Because we always need new workers, it goes really slow. [...] Because some of the subcontract companies can no longer provide the workers with accommodation and food, those workers are having to leave Fukushima, but they have no place to go back. They were told that it’s going to be a long term job, they quit the contract of their apartments. When they have family, they have home but can no longer support their family. [link to enenews.com] |

When we use the max. allowed Level for Workers in a Nuclear Facility Japan will run out of Worker in afir. 4-5 Years which is only 1/10 of the planned Time Frame of 40 Years! (compare the F'Shima Roadmap) But they done already a lot to reduce the chance of Contamination for the Worker there, many Areas are covered with Layers of fresh Asphalt, the hard Contaminated Parts of the Plant getting smaller and smaller. For the removal of the Fuel they need Robots anyway and some Universities working hard to develop such "Helper"! Last Edited by the mighty Atom on 10/11/2012 02:54 PM G.Y.!B.E. |

Just posting something like you have done is not very helpful! When we return to the Definition of "Emergency Work" the max. allowed Level of Contamination would increase 5 Times! But they changed the Definition last few Weeks and now it is just "normal Work"! Last Edited by the mighty Atom on 10/11/2012 03:08 PM G.Y.!B.E. |
