Same thing/same letter to some one's relative-just a form letter with a signature copied which he prob did not see even when addressed -the least he could have done is sent a private note with it and a legit signature to show some kind of human response.

Any Armed Forces still in--retired or relative that votes for this man is doing a dis-service to the people serving.

By sending these cold responses to loved ones shows his contempt to/of us.

To the people who voted him in -be careful-you got what you wished for.

Not saying the other ones any better..............

I'd like the total count of all those letters sent out. I'll bet 10 times more than the deaths they claim...since they only count war fatalities as the soldiers who are on duty and in their boots during combat.

Please watch this video and this woman's story. She would have spoken out sooner but her inalienable rights were subverted through subversive new legislation a decade ago. From the things she reveals it's pretty depressing to consider how our soldiers seem so expendable, and from what seems to be profit motivations for the few.... but for the many are presented as a noble 'sacrifice' for defense. It really makes you wonder if our leaders really care or if it really is all lip service...

Also this video... the first half of the movie may seem very off topic to bizarre, but the second half I feel explains the situation, motivations, and extent of just about everything about the situation people are in now.

I know soldiers will sacrifice for their country, but i can't agree with the 'sacrificers' that would sacrifice them like that and for the wrong reasons which the people really are not privy to.

you can cry out about the bush and the neocons all you want... the obama rose up all about the hope and change that one could believe in... but really it's been more of the same if not more. A big continuation from the one before, and broken promises... where was the dissent from the 'liberals'? It seemed like they gave a big pass. Sure with the announcement of the troop pullouts are scheduled for the end of the year, but being an election year, it seemed like throwing people a bone or two.

There really hasn't been much of a difference, if one could look past the bias of their party... especially when it's been more of the same, just a different face or administration.

You are 1000% correct about Bush.But these letters is/was where Obama could have separated him self from Bush--BY AT LEAST ACTING LIKE HE CARED.

But i guess his handlers saw no value in acting human and personal.

What the hell: Every dead service member's family expects a unique handwritten condolence letter?

Get real. The President of the United States doesn't have time to craft thousands of unique handwritten letters to anybody.

Btw: Sounds like the dad in this story is (understandably) grief-stricken. But the loss is his own family's fault: If you don't want your kid to die in war, then don't send your kid to war.
