Flat screens and mind control
This is my theory:

I'm a computer tech. Sometimes I notice weird things, other than people complaining that IE is slow when they have 20 toolbars and add-ons...then suddendly install google chrome and all is well and proceed to say that IE sucks when in reality they're the ones that suck. But I digress.

In '04, technology was more advanced than it is now. Laptops had a better screens, with full 24 bit color resolution, which had 8 bit color for each of the color channels. This enabled it to display 16.7 million colors, and as a result there was no need for an early 90's technology called dithering to be used to prevent the screen from pixelation due to lack of ability to display a separate color for each pixel. Dithering is a random scattering or movement of pixels to simulate the presence of a greater ability to display color.

But when Windows 7 came out, instead of advancing on to 12 bits per color channel we went back to six bits per color channel because we just couldn't produce a video chip for an LCD screen that could do it anymore.

There is one exception to this: And that is Apple. Oh guess what? Steve Jobs is dead. Wonder why? They have awesome screens btw.

Anyway,

They use dithering to control ur mind!! O_O!

Only in windows though.

Why would they willfully choose to have all displays go backwards when there was no economic reason to do it? LCD technology is old now, there is no reason to be using it, unless, of course, you wanted to make an excuse and provide a way through which a mind control effect could be added to any online content or offline program.

Oh hey, remember when everyone was illegaly forced to switch to digital television? Totally relevant.

/end rant

Re: Flat screens and mind control
Your theory has several holes in it, The first is monitors didn't have dithering as CRT monitors work differently, and reproduce their colours differently. I have an old LCD monitor I bought for £450 in 2003, the resolution is 1280x1024 and it is 6Bit+dithering.

You are also incorrect in saying all monitors use dithering... they do not, some of the cheaper models lack dithering and instead you get banding in gradients. My current monitor is 8bit and my next one will be a Sony oled monitor.

Current mainstream monitors are progressing in terms of colour reproduction, more and more monitors are using IPS panels instead of TN (meaning the screen doesn't go all weird when you look at it from an angle), and color depths are slowly improving. We are JUST starting to see 2560x1440 monitors becoming more common.

There are several stages to reach before we can really push up above 2560x1440, the first is Display Port needs to become more standardized, or the HDMI interface needs to vastly improve to first allow for the required bandwidth, the second is better graphics cards. My 670 would manage 2880x1800 tops (I've tested it at that res and it has no problem)

It's not the government themselves that use any form of mind control, it is the corporations and banks, their ads, tv commercials and audio ads contain very VERY well hidden subliminal binaural tones that can subtly effect our subconscious. For example every time you see a commercial for Lloyds TSB (UK bank) your subconscious may feel more stable, happier or any number of positive (or negative) feelings due to the audio tones, timing and frequency matching our brainwaves natural frequencies and ever so slightly adjusting to an alternative frequency.

Anyway back to your theory the 'mind control' to which you are referring this is most likely done through your speakers than your monitor or tv. Imagery can contain on purpose or accidental subliminal messages as well but they are much more easily detected and banned in most western countries.

Indeed it is the corporations....in which governments are extensions of corporations.

How much did they pay you to make that post? My 3rd eye sensed an overwhelming sense urgency from this post that it almost knocked me off my train of thought. *edit* and my chair.

Awesome insight concerning speakers. You really do think 3 dimensionally.

Lots of steps back in Windows 7, not quite as bad as Vista. I hadn't paid attention to your point, but you are correct and it IS curious that we've moved backwards. I think it has less to do with mind control conspiracy than it has to do with actors (black's law).

As for TV - Illegally forced? You're still watching TV and on here studying conspiracies? Quit watching, there is no truth on television - it's just confusing you. Focus on living a rewarding life and learning instead of running home from work to watch the idiot box.

OP I'm quite familiar with what dithering is. How would this control us or even guide us? It's a dot pattern. At best you could say it's being used like an ink blot test - making us see ink blots without realising it. AT BEST.

By the way this wouldn't be the first time technology took a jump backwards. Look how popular MP3 got and every body shunned the awesome sound quality of CDs, for the convenience of having a small file. Of course, these days MP3s can have sampling rates higher than 44000Hz, but for years and years it was always inferior to CDs.

In short:- modulation.
Remember the old CRT TVs? Remember how awesome TV pictures were on a quality tube TV compared to TFT or LCD displays without an HD adapter?

Remember incandescent light bulbs & how they were brighter & produced a more even light that was more comfortable on the eyes compared to compact CFT bulbs?

Modulation & the ability of these new devices to carry digital signals is the answer. Analogue stuff can't carry modulated signals because it can't switch fast enough.
There have been proposals to use office fluorescent lighting as a wifi medium, both transmitting and possibly by receiving modulated light with the network signal. I guess the same might be true of panel TVs?

Your mind is controlled from what's ON the screen, not in how it's produced on the screen.

Mind control started with radio. You can control a mind with simple black and white.

Who knows why they chose the technology they did. Maybe it was because of their aero glass and compatability for appearance with older monitors..who knows..But, I SERIOUSLY doubt that diterhing is mind control..lol -sounds crazy even saying that.

Dude, I havent watched TV in years....your suggestion that I do....almost made me throw up in my mouth a little bit.

I focus on that life, and live it.

The illegally forced thing....u dont know? analog tv can no longer be broadcasted and we're all forced into digitial....srlsy? Do some fucking homework, numb nuts: [link to en.wikipedia.org]

You, in essence, made my point for me, while completely missing the one I was making.....I am trying to imagine how you could be cruder, or more abrasive, but I just...can't. Additionally, Thank you for the insults regarding my intelligence and the mis-nomer, referring body parts that may or may not have feeling......

Tell me how the transition was illegal, and additionally, especially if you don't watch TV, why do you care? IS free television guaranteed in the constitution? Does your job as a computer tech make you the smartest man in the world, or the smarmiest? Are you starting threads just to troll them? Is talking how you breathe?

What does this have to do with the logic & message I applied in the original post? Nothing. You attempt to discredit & attack the messener, shill style.

You are really insane and should seek some professional help..just thought you should know that.

Dithering is a dynamic pattering. One user will see something different than another based on a wide variation of conditions. These are including but not limited to, the brightness settings, resolution, refresh rate, and contrast.

The mind is controlled by what you physically see and hear. An image of a balloon, for example, may look like an image of a balloon to you, but subconsciously you might see something else, such as a violent or sexual object.

Mind control is also blatantly in front of you without being subliminal, such as just today, there's an akward photo of Romney at a school posted on news organizations all over. One side of the news posted it because "They thought it was innocently funny" - The other side says "They are intentionally making him look bad" --

When in actuality they are both posting it to ensure everyone knows that he was at that school. Why? Because, recently Obama had said something along the lines of "Romney Doesn't like Teachers." -- So they put him on the front page at a school, without directly saying "Hey, look he's at a school, he does like teachers."

^That is mind control.. Not a random group of dots to continue missing colors..
