They would be kinda messy, but cold steel also makes a kick as Kukri blade. i love mine, I have 2. [ link to www.amazon.com] also for close combat, a tonfa like you showed is awesome if you know how to use it. My absolute favorite is the M48 Hawk Axe [ link to www.amazon.com] If you threw that, it would knock a man off his feet and stick him to the wall. My K-Bar gives me goosebumps when I throw it.
