Anonymous Coward User ID: 25199763 Canada 10/10/2012 05:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Or, say it. 12 years ago the united states was NOT referred to as a "HOMELAND", and now you're using it as though it were normal because they're f*cking with our traditional terminology, well it isn't normal. 12 years ago it was NATIONAL SECURITY not HOMELAND SECURITY and it bothers me now just as much as it did when Bush & co dropped this word on every newscaster's tongue to be repeated until our eyes were bloodshot. Dam I want out of here so so bad. Yeah the word homeland is a spinoff from the Nazis. Every time you use that word you are showing how you have been indoctrinated into the 4th Reich. |

Any items can potentially be shipped internationally is why standardized regulations were implemented. All hazmat (even kitchen matches falls under that)requires placards. Look at a gasoline or heating oil delivery truck. They are placarded so if in an accident, responders can access the explosive or chemical hazard before they step into it. It sucks but is nothing new. There were international postal agreements made at the World Peace summit held at the Hague back in like 1898 but few showed up because there were no world peace problems. WWI changed that. Smell a rat? |

"The LAPD bomb squad determined that the smoke grenade fell under the United Nations’ explosives shipping classification, meaning it is prohibited on board passenger aircraft." [link to boston.cbslocal.com] No worries friend. Brief said if you are a good citizen the UN won't have you detained. |

It's not a law, but a shipping standard. The LAW that he was charged under was.. and I read it from the article, something the OP didn't. Harris faces one count of transporting hazardous materials. That would be a US law. |

The US had a HUGE hand in establishing the UN and now you are crying because they are stepping on your toes. You are all such hypocritical bastards and such children. Your motto should be "MY WAY OR NO WAY". As long as the UN was only working in other countries you had no problem. Well suck it up America, welcome to reality. What goes around comes around. |
