Looks like the shills are taking over this thread now.

Oh well. Smart readers will have gotten out of this post what they need, naive people will be lulled into an easy sleep, if not by shills, then by their own inability to handle the challenges of reality.

I appreciate that OP shared his experience with us. Those who can hear, heard it.

Well, aren't you the benevolent one..?

You weren't so concerned when you were defending Tepco.
 Quoting: Waterbug

People like you don't get it,
the Word and the Company "Tepco" is exchangeable,
no one of you remember the Name of the Power Company
in Chernobyl, the Factory Owner of Bhopal
or the Nuclear Waste Manager from the North Sea, Atlantic,
Pacific and/ or the Arctic Sea!

Tepco is just one Name of a Company
but not the Name of the dispising System,
People who say we need to punish TEPCO are distracting us
from the real Criminals!
 Quoting: the mighty Atom

You are full of shit. Misdirection doesn't work with me.
You should know this by now.

Tepco is a criminal outfit. That makes you an accessory to their crimes and a criminal by association.
 Quoting: Waterbug

Okay, go forward and Sue them, you are free to do it,
sue them and let the System continue to work, Sycophant!
 Quoting: the mighty Atom

The lawsuits have been filed.

Sycophant?
You'd better look that word up before throwing it at me, asshole.
I'm sorry for you that you can't be an independent thinker such as myself. I am beholden to no-one.

I doubt that Harrisonburg is caused by Japan. Could it be that our very own reactors have been venting since they started and are blaming Fukushima because people are looking at the radiation readings now?

I just wonder why the Fukushima accident is considered worse than f. ex. 3 Mile Island and Chernobyl?

The Chernobyl accident spewed radioactive waste all over the northern hemisphere, but still you say that Fukushima is gonna be worse for us up here, of for that matter, the whole planet?

I don't know much about radiation or nuclear science, so please enlighten me.

Speaking of SmartMeters..

[link to www.philly.com]

Oct 10, 2012
Peco announced Tuesday that it would resume its ambitious smart-meter installation program after pulling the plug on a manufacturer whose devices had been linked to a series of fires.

The utility suspended the $650 million program in August after several incidents in which the electronic devices overheated and caught fire. Two of the incidents resulted in serious house fires, though none resulted in injuries.

Peco hired Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and two independent consultants to examine the meters. Their reports convinced the utility to swap out all the meters manufactured by Sensus Metering Systems Inc. of Raleigh, N.C., with those made by a Swiss vendor, Landis & Gyr A.G.

At the time it suspended installations, Peco had deployed 201,642 meters, including 186,000 Sensus devices. Since August, it has replaced about half the Sensus meters with L&G devices.

Peco said it would replace the remaining 96,000 Sensus meters during the next 45 days and would then resume its installation program. Customers will be notified by mail and phone before a new meter is installed.

The decision is a setback for the utility's plan to update its electric distribution system, which is supported by a $200 million federal smart-grid grant. Under the stimulus grant, Peco promised to install 600,000 smart meters by April 2014.

Utilities across the nation are installing digital smart meters to replace analog devices. The industry has installed about 40 million advanced meters, including 10 million Sensus devices.

The new-generation meters are equipped for two-way communication with the utility, allowing for more sophisticated grid management and outage control. The devices also generate constant readings, allowing suppliers to offer hourly pricing to customers who want to shift their consumption to cheaper off-peak hours.

But the new technology has spawned spirited opposition from customers who fear the wireless transmissions are unhealthy and the meter data might be misused. Regulators dismiss the concerns but feared that Peco's misadventures would strengthen opponents.

----

Sensus maintains that the incendiary Peco meters and others that caught fire in Texas, Georgia, California, and Canada were all tied to faulty installations - loose connections in the sockets into which the meter is plugged, which leads to electrical resistance, overheating and a meter meltdown.

Peco says it is negotiating with Sensus over which company will absorb the expense of swapping out 186,000 meters.

If Peco pays, the utility could seek to recover the extra cost from customers, said Engel Menendez.

Peco and other Pennsylvania utilities are required to install the smart meters under the 2008 state energy conservation law known as Act 129.

----

As part of its response to the fires, Peco installed new software so the meters shut down automatically if they overheat.

"Customers can be assured if there's any kind of emergency, their meter has the capability to send us an alarm and to shut down," said Engel Menendez.

Customers with concerns about their smart meters can call Peco at 855-741-9011

Okay, now I am officially worried even though I don't believe the OP. Sorry Op, metal coming out of your pores???
I also live in PA and my family has been having unusual symptoms. It never crossed my mind it could be radiation poisoning! We have all had nosebleeds in the past few months. None of us has EVER had one before. WE are also very nauseous at times. The nausea and vomiting began 3 weeks ago but it is not every day. Back in May or June my husband and I both had a metallic taste in our mouth. I live about 50 miles west of Philly.

why do you not believe the OP? either he is correct, or it is the Sun (thinned Ionosphere), or radiation from DUMB expansion underneath you as they use nukes to make cavities underground. or all of the above. or HAARP harmonics. scalar

OP, try this. it may hurt. eat the seaweed stuff. drink lots of water and run or do excessive cardio, but be careful of heart. hike mtns with another in case of emergency. sweat detoxes quicker than anything, the seaweed stuff, as Japanese do, absorbs radiation. sweat in a sauna -- drink tonnes of water. go to a juice diet, fast -- add no hard foods for a while as fat cells stores sickness, radiation, etc. fasting will close the adipose cells up, sweating detox, and seaweed absorb. and mind over body, accept no pain, no weakness in, do not entertain the sickness when it comes. use your energy to animate your body to stand tall and upright, be strong, think strong.

I'd be wary of kelp[seaweed]. Fuku continues to contaminate the ocean. This is well documented.

[link to abcnews.go.com]

[snip]

Kelp along the California coast was found to be contaminated with radioactive material from a nuclear plant damaged in the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan, according to a recent study.

Researchers at California State University, Long Beach found that the kelp contained radioactive iodine, cesium, xenon and other particles at levels unlikely to be detrimental to human health but much higher than the amounts measured before the disaster.

I've had this too. Feel for you OP. I'm not saying I'm anywhere near where you are though

It tastes like you sucked on a penny. It doesn't go away for a while. Go put a penny in your mouth and let it sit for 5 minutes.. take it out,,, it tastes like that.

I used to work with radioactive isotopes and had to wear a dosimeter. I'm sure they lied to me about it all.. and how much I was dosed.

It was Iodine mostly that we used, but I left after hearing people were getting thyroid cancer doing what I was doing.
I won't go into it though, just look up uses of radioactive Iodine.

I may die young, but, probably not, I try to live as healthy as I can. been fine so far though. We used to have to Geiger EVERY surface we used and record it. I still worry about it though!

I believe OP. We bought a rad detector after the Fukushima. My husband who travels alot had been having metal taste in his mouth so we also got some spirulina. Used both and some idodine. But the rad detector went off quite often at that time in Nebraska...once it was going crazy where they were doing road work.??? We had even seen signs of radiation from out plants in our yard...the dandelions were mis shaped and some were just over sized..I also saw a few white birds (albino) after Fukushima. We did move and have not experienced our detector going off pretty much since we moved. I know there are areas getting hammered and yes the jet stream is helping determine where these areas are. Its scary since I also know that cows, hay, soy all types of crops and meats and milk are now all contaminated too but noone is going to tell you about it.

...he examined the heads of wheat by crushing them in his hands to bring out the kernels. He found that the wheat was terribly shrunken and not fit for food. He was told by the messenger that this condition would bring about a shortage of food during the first year of harvest.

The second year he was shown would be the same only much less food raised. Still, the irrigated grain would be good. He was told we would need to store up the first and second years grain to supply food for the third and fourth years. The third year the shortage would be so great that there would hardly be anything raised for food. The fourth year they would not be able to raise anything for food.
