Speaking of Chernobyl.... This last year 7 people in my very small, rural community have developed cancer, mainly lung and esophageal. I have just got out of hospital, having had a lobe of my lung removed, luckily they caught it early, and seem to have got it all. Sadly though, 5 of us, all in late 50's, have died.
All those affected were outdoor types, I was in Cumbria leading horse trekking holidays when Chernobyl happened, outside in the rain for days at a time. Of course, I have no proof that Chernobyl is the culprit, but it seems odd that so many of the same age in a community of @200 should be experiencing this now.
