Anonymous Coward User ID: 24492505 Canada 10/10/2012 11:26 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I live in AZ. For about a week in late March (2011) my eyes burned like crazy and I had a continual taste of metal in my mouth. I never go to the doctor, and this was no exception, so I have no diagnosis. And it wasn't until much later that I even considered that it could have had anything to do with Fukushima, but now I'm pretty sure it did. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 18927751 For me it was the occasional pinprick of what sseemed like a nano-sized ember occasionally landing on my skin. It happened to my wife too and we were both really weirded out by it! That was only for a few weeks late March/early April. It was CREEPY. |

I also live in PA near Scranton and due to my paranoia and being less then 20 miles from susquehanna steam nnp, I carry a radsticker on my person at all times and have much more advanced radiological monitoring and survey equipment installed at home. On my land it averages 15-35 cpm and the average dose per hour is around 15 mR, and I don't see any increase during the rain. Strangely enough, I also drive right past Indian point nnp in NY on my way to work and it's totally flat, like 1 or 2 cpm average which is almost certainly solar related. The metallic taste is classic symptom of radio iodide uptake so that's quite unnerving, there are bentonite therapies for that.. Google it. As for the smart meter that ppl sneak installed 3 months ago, it's the devil and every day since it's been here I have been suffering.. Quoting: CowgirlK We all have been getting low level doses of radiation ever since Fukushima. It has now worked it's way through the food chain and starting to effect those of us at the top of the chain. >>If you have been exposed to radiation fallout you will know it through a change in your health status. If the levels are extraordinarily high then people all around you will be feeling and sharing similar changes and discomforts including: -Nausea and vomiting -Diarrhea -Skin burns (skin reddening) -Weakness -Lethargy and fatigue -Loss of appetite (anorexia) -Fainting -Dehydration -Inflammation of tissues (swelling, redness or tenderness) -Hemorrhages under the skin -Bleeding from your nose, gums or mouth -Anemia (low red [link to www.naturalnews.com] cell count) -Hair loss (usually from just the scalp) -Decrease in platelets<< [link to www.naturalnews.com] I am going to add weight gain and problems regulating body temp (either too hot or too cold) to the list because of the radiation destroying people's thyroids. There are 3 things you need to take daily to protect yourself from the effects of radiation. Chlorophyll.. >>According to the book "Chlorella," some studies have found that chlorophyll-rich foods, such as chlorella, spirulina and alfalfa, can decrease radiation toxicity. Chlorella, in particular, has the ability to neutralize radiation and mercury-related conditions in the body and to remove poisonous substances, including cadmium, dioxins and<< [link to www.livestrong.com] (You can buy liquid Chlorophyll at most health food stores) Eleutherococcus senticosus (Siberian Ginseng) >>Adaptogen, Anti-toxic, Anti-radiation, Immunoprotective and Immunoregulatory. For patients going through chemotherapy or radiotherapy, Eleutherococcus would be very useful. << [link to www.friedli.com] Rhodiola Rosea >>More scientific research is needed to confirm the preventive and curative benefits of R. rosea. Controlled studies are warranted to explore its use in antidepressant augmentation, disorders of memory and cognition, attention deficit disorder, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's disease, protection against arrhythmias, sports performance, aviation and space medicine (enhancing physical and mental performance while reducing stress reactions), endocrine disorders (infertility, premenstrual disorder, menopause), sexual dysfunction, disorders of the stress response system (fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and post traumatic stress disorder), and enhancement of chemotherapy/radiation with amelioration of toxicity.<< [link to cms.herbalgram.org] There's lots of info on the web that supports the use of these 3 products in radiation protection. AFAIK.. you can still get the russian detectors on Ebay for around 400US. The problem is that detectors don't tell you which radioisotope you are exposed to. Radiation Detection and Measurement [link to www.acq.osd.mil] [snip] This appendix provides detailed information on the instrumentation and associated techniques used to perform radiological monitoring at an accident involving the release of radioactive material. This appendix is not intended to serve as a “user’s manual” for the various instruments; however, it includes sufficient detail to provide an understanding of the limitations of field measurement techniques and provides for proper application and the use of techniques in an emergency. For completeness, some basic characteristics of different kinds of radiation are included. Throughout this appendix, the word “radiation” refers only to nuclear radiation found at a nuclear accident site. Laboratory procedures are necessary to quantitatively measure radiation contamination. For this reason, mobile laboratories are available within the Department of Defense and the DOE/NNSA for deployment to an accident site. Although specific instrumentation shall vary, the types of laboratory analyses fall into three categories: gamma and X-ray spectroscopy, alpha-beta counting, and liquid scintillation. |

Quoting: Kalles Kaviar The Chernobyl accident spewed radioactive waste all over the northern hemisphere, but still you say that Fukushima is gonna be worse for us up here, of for that matter, the whole planet? I don't know much about radiation or nuclear science, so please enlighten me. It has as much to do with meteorology as nuclear science. The jet stream brings the radioactive particulate straight over the pacific ocean and to the North American mainland. The trip takes about 3 days. 1/3 of the pollution over Los Angeles any given day comes from China. Japan is right in the same line and right on the shore line. You'd think everything would land on California, but that doesn't seem to be the way it works. I think the persistence of rain is a huge factor. California is mostly desert so rain is not as prevalent. Look where all the radiation is being detected; same places where they get lots of rain. |

Studies have shown that ES, when administered to patients, drastically reduces the side effects of radiation and chemotherapy (e.g., nausea, weakness, fatigue, dizziness, and loss of appetite). Other research with cancer patients has linked Eleutherococcus Senticosus with improved healing and recovery times, increased weight gain, and improved immune cell counts. In Russia, the administration of Eleutherococcus Senticosus to cancer patients seemed to permit larger than normal doses of drugs utilised in chemotherapy, thus speeding treatment periods. The researchers stated: 'We conclude from our data that Eleutherococcus senticosus exerts a strong immunomodulatory effect in healthy normal subjects.' The Bohn study has caused drug companies to spend millions of dollars in an effort to get Eleutherococcus Senticosus approved as a drug by the FDA in the States. [link to www.herbwisdom.com] Get it while you can. The FDA will make a synthetic version and charge hundreds of dollars for a script. There are so many herbs that can cure just about everything, its no wonder the Gov is trying to regulate and shut down the supplement industry. If people can heal themselves there would be no need for the masses to depend on the gov for free health care. Lets not empower anyone or have them take control of their own health because Knowledge is power!...and that frightens TPTB. |
